Now I don't like Palin but something is confusing me. My democrat friend sent this my way as if to say "gotcha". I've read and re-read this but I don't see how it is a "major gaffe"? I thought she was, more or less, spot on. What am I missing?

I'm sure she was refering to the bailouts will potentially be bad to tax payers, not that tax payers were flipping the bill the whole time they were around.

I’m actually surprised she brought this up since these are the some of the same bankers that have funded McCain’s campaign. The only faux pas I see is that she went against her neocon masters.

Pretty major gaffe there.

I wonder if any of the Huffpost geniuses are willing to bet that we taxpayers won't be ponying up to make Fannie and Freddie solvent within the year.

Even if you don't have audio, just have a look at McCain's face.

Yeah, he starts looking at her speech; probably wondering what she's gonna say next ;)

Ouch, what exactly is her understanding of economics?

As much as her speech writers allow her to say... again, why are this politicians dictating and preaching, instead of the people and media drilling them all?

That's a great question!
