T. Boone Pickens responds positively to Independent Greens of Virginia offer to join their Presidential ticket. The Texas oil man is spending $58 million dollars to promote The Pickens Plan to build wind, solar power, and rail to cut America’s addiction to foreign oil.

Sara Martin (of Statton and Associates) the political consulting firm working for Mr. Pickens on The Pickens plan, responded.

While the response was positive, Mr. Pickens still can not join the Independent Greens ticket.

Mr. Pickens is, “flattered, ....but our response is the same”. For the Pickens plan to be a success the goal is to keep it non-partisan. That means T. Boone Pickens can not be a candidate this year on the Independent Green Party of Virginia’s presidential ticket.

The Independent Greens of Virginia were the first state party in America to endorse and join The Pickens Plan on July 7, 2008. The Pickens Plan calls for building wind, solar power, and rail to cut dependence on foreign oil. Make America safer and more secure.

Mayor Michael Bloomberg withdrew from the Independent Greens presidential ballot line on Thursday. After Mayor Bloomberg withdrew, Independent Greens invited T. Boone Pickens to join their Presidential ticket to promote the Pickens Plan to cut American dependence on foreign oil.

The Independent Greens advocate building high speed, modern, innovative magnetic levitation trains nationwide to cut foreign oil addiction in half. “We need More Trains, Less Traffic to make America safer and more secure, and save American lives.” Gail “for Rail” Parker, the Independent Greens Vice state chair, and U.S. Senate candidate.

“We need fiscally, conservative, and socially responsible government”.

This year the Independent Greens have effectively placed five Virginia endorsed/nominated candidates on the ballot for US Congress, plus put Gail for Rail Parker on the ballot once again for US Senate and an Independent Presidential candidate on the ballot in Virginia.

The Independent Greens are meeting this weekend with the intent reach a decision on their ballot line.

Among those in discussion this weekend:

Jesse Venture, former Governor of Minnesota

Virginia residents:

Jacqueline Badger Mars, supporter of Virginia League of Conservation Voters
William E. Conway Jr., Virginia supporter of “So Others Might Eat”
James V. Kinsey, America Online founder

and Florida resident Dr. Chuck Baldwin

Deadline is Monday.

This is where we come in. We need to start e-mailing the Independent Greens of Virginia who've nominated Ron Paul as their Vice President to either secure Paul/Goldwater, Jr. on the ballot, Paul/Baldwin or worse-case scenario a Baldwin/Paul ticket. That would be so amazing to have Ron Paul on the ballot in 3 states, anyway we can help get the good doctors name out for people to have a true candidate to vote for.

FYI- It is confirmed, Paul/Goldwater will be on the louisiana ballot

As of right now, Barr is not on the ballot so we may get the support of the LALP.

I know that, I've read about it on Ballot-Access.org, I'm just saying lets e-mail/spam the hell out of the IGVA Party to get Ron Paul on another ballot, which would make 3 states. Montana, Louisiana and Virginia (a key battle-ground state, I might add).

Baldwin and Barr will hopefully be donating their electors to Ron Paul. That is speculation, and why not. We're in this together to win. We know of the potential for grave consequences if we don't. I hope that the revolution will reunite and retaliate before November 4th.

Just think, what if the revolution really is happening sooner than we thought. Our dreams could become our reality.
