Has Dr. Paul tried to call a Convention as mandated in the Constitution, Article 5? All 50 state legislatures have made applications for a Convention...
Thanks,
Michael

Calling for a convention could have unintended consequences- every part of the Consittution will be open to being re-written even parts you may support, not just the ones you disagree with. Do you think that the committee would agree with your way of thinking- without any idea of who may be on it? How many would support Ron Paul's ideas? How many in Congress today agree with him on issues?
I think Ron would rather see the current Constitution enforced, not rewritten.

So, we obey the Constitution when it suits us?
An Article 5 Convention is exactly what we need to reign in Washington. Look at the calls for a Convention by the states:
Balanced Budget
Limit Federal Indebtedness
Term Limits
Right To Life
Any amendments proposed at a Convention still must be ratified by 3/4 of all the states, so, nothing too extreme could be passed anyway...

You can pass individual amendments to the Constitution.
