Can anyone find any legit info about Jesse Ventura? Like anything legit that he was actually in combat or a Navy Seal? Before I can take his "Bob Barr like" speech, I think it would be good if the things he says about his history is true.

He stated that he has been living in Mexico for about 6 months. I took offence to that because he "cut n run" from helping this country. And now, he wants us to do all the work for him.......Well, not all the work. But if he's going to live in Mexico until we get our "ducks" in a row and lined out for his presidential bid in 2012, I don't feel the need to even broadcast any support for him.
This Revolution is all about Americans and their future. And his record in MN isn't all that great. (unless my information is something different than what all of yours might be.)

Didn't he say he doesn't want to seal the border??
WE believe in protecting our border DON'T WE!
I know I do.
I really wish he had left that out.

I believe in security, not necessarily a border. If we actually had our border guards I think it'd be fine, but they're in Iraq.

Well he didn't SAY he wants to secure the border. He said he didn't want a fence like berlin.
I really don't care how it's done. If we can VERY effectively secure the border'S with technology and guards only, I'm good. If it takes a fence, I WANT A FENCE. But enforce the law NOW
ps. not mad at you OZZY

WE don't have a fixed position, that's kind of what the freedom thing is about.

While Jessie is by no means a libertarian, at least as far as I can tell from this (http://www.ontheissues.org/Jesse_Ventura.htm), he is taking a position here that many hardcore libertarians support, particularly the anarcho-capitalists. http://mises.org/story/1980

For me, immigration is an important issue, I just haven't worked it through in my own mind enough to make it a litmus test one way or the other. My main concerns are civil liberties, war and the Federal Reserve. I like what Ron Paul says. If we had a free and prosperous country illegal immigrants would not be trotted out as scapegoats. It wouldn't be that big of a deal, we'd probably need all the immigrants we could get our hands on to fill all the jobs our economy was creating. Until then, I also think we should enforce existing laws because a lawful society is better than an unlawful one.

I don't necessarily agree with his stance on immigration, but I think he has a very valid point. His point is about the physical structures; the walls, the razor wire, the fences.

Correct me if I am wrong, but I don't think he is saying we should leave the border unguarded. He may be a bit bull-headed, but he is not stupid. A country without borders is no country.

i was under the impression he was like ron paul, where we don't need a physical wall, we just need to take away the incentives and protect our border through cameras and such

I agree with Ventura on Immigration as long as we don't give free hand-outs and special treatment.

Jesse Ventura is awesome.

You might not agree with every thing he says, but that man shoots from the hip.

On the effectiveness of the fence that many want to blow millions on: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=obsf_oMaGEA

If you watch to the end, they give a challenge to the Mexicans to get around the fence via three methods.
