I have no idea how important or valid this is, but just in case....
it was just posted on Daily Paul

**DELEGATES: REPORT FOR QUORUM!**

This is a call for IMMEDIATE ACTION! Some RP supporters staying at home have been calling delegates they know are in MN, and those folks were not aware of this, so PLEASE spread the word to any delegates you know of that are presently in MN!!! **RP DELEGATES MUST BE PRESENT FOR THIS QUORUM!!!!**

It is our understanding that delegates are being told to spend their time manning a phone bank to help the hurricane victims (and therefore, not be present for the quorum!)

The time for the quorum has not yet been officially announced! Delegates must be on the ready and proactive to find this information out!!

Incidentally: in case you didn't hear, Gustav hit away from NOLA, and was much milder than anticipated. GUSTAV HAS BEEN DOWNGRADED TO A CATEGORY 2, instead of a Category 4 hurricane! See details here: http://news.yahoo.com/s/a...

Given that -- is the RNC going to resume their full schedule, or are they still going walk away from their own convention?!?!

Now, read THIS, from the Daily Paul thread http://www.dailypaul.com/...

***The RNC is calling a quorum today to nominate McCain*** WE CAN TAKE CONTROL OF QUORUM
Posted September 1st, 2008 by lynnopoly

They are going to vote when we are preoccupied, I know it. We need to be at the RNC. Half the delegates and alternates haven't arrived yet (voting would be on Wednesday) and they are going to try to vote and run.

We need to get our people there!!
*****We need to take over the quorum!!******

http://elections.foxnews....

".."I know they're disappointed they're not going to get to have the program tonight, but everyone understands it, everyone is thinking about everybody all across the Gulf Coast," Mrs. Bush told "The Early Show" on CBS. "All their eyes are on the Gulf Coast and everyone is thinking about that."

Republican National Committee Chairman Robert "Mike" Duncan said that by law, the convention had to be called to order on Monday. A quorum of at least half plus one of the 2,400 delegates was needed to conduct business such as securing a report of the Credentials Committee, adopting the convention's rules, electing the convention's officer and adopting the party's platform.

A quorum is also needed to formally nominate both McCain and running mate Sarah Palin, although they would not have to be onsite to accept their nominations....
