My Directv got shut off a few months back (for being unable to pay) and I'm watching CSpan via JLC Internet TV which is a Free app you can download that has CSpan live (all 3 channels) and a bunch of other channels.

You can get a copy here:

Not that I'm aware of, but I'm a user not a developer of the project.

On the non-live-tv side I use burnttv.com which costs $10/month and they stream TV shows and have complete series of about 90 different shows and expect to expand soon (although they've been saying that for a while now). They do have *nix support.

Take a look at www.ninjavideo.net (TV Shows tab). It's free.

Take appropriate malware precautions-

It can be watched online or downloaded to hard drive/DVD for later watching/permanent storage.

Note the NinjaVideoHelper requirements for online viewing-

It's divx format (like Zip?) with a download available to read that format.

The only TV show(s) that I'm interested in that are spotty availability there are the L&O family, presumably because the broadcast company is charging $1.99 for downloads elsewhere.

Wow, this really works!

What channel is R4R on?

I'm watching cspan 2 right now. It doesn't look like R4R.

I might have the wrong guy but if I remember correctly you were very talented and had the tenacity of a bulldog? Do I have the wrong guy or is it that you are the correct guy somehow swimming upriver? No disrespect intended.

Don't know if you have the right guy or not, I've always been stubborn and on the poor side tho.
