As I read these forums I see discussion about a variety of topics, but I see less and less outcry over the atrocities taking place in our nation. By atrocities I mean absolutely evil, despicable, and unconstitutional actions that are committed single day by our government. It's almost as if Ron Paul supporters are looking the other way and avoiding contemplation of these criminal acts. This tremendously concerns me, because if as Ron Paul supporters we don't peacefully speak out about these crimes we are no better than the neocons or socialists.

For example, do you remember that the war on drugs has is putting countless people in prison? It's an abomination for people who have harmed no one to be imprisoned for choosing what they put in their own body! It's outrageous! The fact is that someone being put in prison for crack or marijuana usage is just as bad is if your son, daughter, wife, or husband was put in prison for eating fatty foods! It's the same thing!

For example, do you realize that people are going to prison for selling their own body for sex? Everyone has the right to control what they do with their own body! The fact these people are punished is an example of an out of control government! It's outrageous that so many people are being put into prison for VICTIMLESS crimes!!!

For example, do you realize the extent that the constitution is being trashed? The 1st, 2nd, and 4th amendments are being trampled upon like never before! People are put in free speech zones, the government has regulated firearm ownership, and it's like the 4th amendment does not even exist at all anymore!

We should be ANGRY about these things! We should not for a moment do anything illegal or violate, but we should be PEACEFULLY screaming our heads off about these matters!

I think we are getting too caught up in the war in Iraq and fiscal reform. Yes, these issues are tremendously serious. But I get the feeling that many people here on Ron Paul forums are so caught up in those issues that they don't really give much thought to the ATROCITIES that are happening to our liberties and freedoms!

Innocent people are going to prison!
Innocent people are having their lives ruined by the government!
Innocent people are having their careers ruined!
Innocent people are having their privacy violated!
Innocent people are having property seized!
Innocent people are having their right to control their own body taken away!

For goodness sakes, we must realize what's happening and speak up about it. As far as I am concerned, we are almost at the point that freedom does not exist in our nation! If we are not an absolute total police state we are almost there!

We must open our eyes to the horrors that are happening. We cannot let ourselves become numb or "get used to it."

Our liberty and freedom are at stake!

No, we need a Federal government. We need to peacefully stand up against the Federal government violating our rights and freedoms!

This concerns me too brother! But the examples you have given are not the only ones.
If Ron Paul supporters do not speak out about the biggest and most obvious crime of this century, I do not expect them to speak out about the ones you listed!

No, we can't protect ourselves from it without getting rid of it.

It's impossible to fix. Better to have candidates who support secession on a local and state level.

So..... do we wait for death camps before going second amendment and enforcing the constitution.... or what?

When will the diplomatic option be exhausted exactly?

"Liberty is lost through complacency and a subservient mindset. When we accept or even welcome automobile checkpoints, random searches, mandatory identification cards, and paramilitary police in our streets, we have lost a vital part of our American heritage. America was born of protest, revolution, and mistrust of government. Subservient societies neither maintain nor deserve freedom for long." -- Ron Paul 2004

what good is the second amendment if no one has the money to buy guns and ammo. the government, through fiscal and monetary policies, is destroying the dollar. look at ammo prices the last couple years...
