a lesson in forum etiquette

maybe, just maybe some of you don't know this? maybe its laziness? im not sure... but either way 368 threads on the same exact subject get highly annoying, especially if you use the "new posts" function (as you should be)

so for those of you who don't know how here is your lesson in starting a new thread on RPFs (ps. the example i used was sarah palin, because that seems to be the current offender at the moment :)

bump for the love of god, glad to see the palinator threads are dying down... I am not sure why she is relavant since McCain is the one running for president. I wasn't going to vote for him then and I won't now.

Posting new threads in appropriate sub-forums is good too.

Thanks for laying down the law. :p

well and you know i am TOTALLY with you on that, and considered posting it appropriately, however i knew if i did, it wouldn't get seen, because only the intelligent ones who already know how to use the search function, also use the new posts function, so i was afraid to put it anywhere but GC

and i hope it stays here because the majority of the people who post threads without searching for it first only buzz around GC

Is Microsoft ClearType (www.microsoft.com/typography/cleartype/tuner/step1.aspx) installed in your system, Roxic? By looking at the fonts in your Printscreens I don't think so.

Same here, Cleartype gives a better look of the texts by exclusively AA(anti-aliasing) the fonts. Try it, you'll never stop using it.

Yes, post in appropriate sub-forums is good. But always post in Grassroots Central no matter what your topic is. The mods don't mind, even if you mod-alert a thread that's out of place -- they don't touch it.

Again, all threads shall originate in Grassroots Central.

the gimp really has come a long way, and it's free! between that and inkscape i've been putting together some great compositions as of late. nowadays w/ gimp you can even animate.
