snip from the bottom:

A large group of Paul supporters attended the rally, clapping and cheering loudly when Carnes denounced Graham's support of immigration reform. Several waved "No amnesty for Graham in 2008" signs. The strength-in-numbers strategy worked, as they will have more of a voice in the inner workings of the county Republican Party now.

The resolutions that came up Thursday night will be sent to a nine-member committee to be debated, and they will be sent out to party members before the next meeting on Nov. 1. The resolutions committee had only been six people strong, but three at-large members were added - names drawn from a cup late Thursday, two of which were Paul supporters.

This is pretty encouraging. I still think the Ron Paul-inspired internet-fueled political revolt is just getting started -- whether or not Ron Paul wins we're learning how to change politics on the local level. We need this to happen anyway if we're to effect more change than just the occupant at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave.
