This is an attempt to put all of the different things going on in one place. There's a lot of events planned, and I'm guessing many people aren't aware of all of them.

Most of the event descriptions are just copied from the people that are putting together the events. Credit goes to them.

This calendar may not be complete, there may be changes, and there may be typos. If you plan on going to an event, please do your due diligence, and check with the sites that are putting the events together to make sure you have accurate information. If anybody finds errors or updates or events to be added, please post it here and I'll try to keep this updated. I'll be leaving for Ronstock on Friday, so I may not be able to make updates after that time.

Please keep posts in this thread on topic. Anything negative will be flagged for deletion.

Some ongoing events you should be aware of:

The Great American Walk for Freedom (www.walk4freedom.com) - Happening now through Sept 2nd.

Ronstock (http://ronstock08.com) - August 29th at noon through Sept 3rd at noon.

Ronvoy (http://ronvoytotherally.eventbrite.com) - Starting to Minnesota on Friday, lodging still available.

MN State Fair (http://mnstatefair.org) - Happening now through Sept 1st. It's a good time if you're looking for something to do. Lots of food, people, music, political booths, media booths, etc.

Events Calendar:

Friday, August 29th

6pm - ?
Great American Walk for Freedom - Town Hall Meeting
Hudson High School
1501 Vine St., Hudson, WI 54016

Saturday, August 30th

7:30am - 4pm
Great American Walk for Freedom.
Meet in Hudson, WI and walk 22 miles to the St. Paul Midway Wal-Mart parking lot. The route will take us past the State Capitol and MNGOP Headquarters. This walk will take us about 7 hours to complete.

Map - http://www.gmap-pedometer.com/?r=2157041

Don't fear – very few, if any, of us will walk the entire 22 miles. We do want as many of us as possible to show that morning to walk over the Hudson Bridge and then again join the group later when we get into the city limits. Please note that we've talked with the St. Paul PD and then have requested that we limit signs and banners in order to avoid being classified as a "demonstration". We instead recommend bringing American flags or keeping your hands free to pass out literature.

Sunday, August 31st

7am - 1pm
Great American Walk for Freedom.
Meet in the St. Paul Midway Wal-Mart parking lot and walk 7 miles to Nicollet Mall.

Map - http://www.gmap-pedometer.com/?r=2157052

We will be walking into Minneapolis WITH RON PAUL and join the Liberty Parade at 1 p.m. (http://www.libertyparade2008.com) and end in Loring Park with a booth, available beer garden and other fun events. For those attending the C4L political training session that day, you can still join us for an hour or two in the morning to get your exercise for the day

Excellent! Thanks, just printed it out! :)

My pleasure. I was putting it all together for myself anyway so I could figure out my schedule and what events I'd be going to. There's a lot going on, and a lot of the events overlap. I figured other people could use it as well.

Thanks Ninja, I was planning on doing this myself as there are a few events, like the Liberty March and the picnic that haven't made it into circulation...

I wonder if we can get people from the ronvoy camp over to the walk4freedom stuff.
that would be several hundred people.
of course our route will be getting in late saturday, and will be burnt from travel.

At the intro before Ron Paul's speech, you may want to edit in Barry Goldwater JR. It made me do a double-take when I saw that, though I am sure it isn't a big deal.

Thanks for the compilation!

If you are already in Minnesota, there is a Walk for Freedom townhall event going on tomorrow evening in Hudson.

Hudson - Town Hall Meeting - 6 PM
Hudson High School
1501 Vine St., Hudson, WI 54016

Also, there won't be a organized "walk" event on the morning of September 1st -rest up and come to the MNLG picnic celebrating the walkers in the afternoon at 2!

I'll be at the State Fair tomorrow promoting the events, passing out a few flyers for the Hudson townhall, talking with the media, et al. If anyone in town wants to join me, e-mail
