I've been reading loads of information that everyone has been writing on here for quite some time, and there has been quite a bit mentioning how the media has failed. Well, I have been thinking about this for quite some time and finally decided to ask and see what many of your oppinions would be.
What if we all who are in this 'revolution' were to create our own television station that would rival CBS, NBC, and ABC?
I am certain that this is a crack pot question, but eh, it's been on my mind, so figured on asking...
Lets say that everyone put in as much money that they could, saved that money up or use some form which would collect interest on it. Then after, say, 4 years, before the next elections, would there be enough money raised to begin a new media outlet?
I believe that it should be similar to CBS, NBC, and ABC so that not only would those who have cable could see this station, but also, anyone who wishes to do so.
I am not sure PBS would be the best way to go, but who knows, maybe it would be OK, then use the money to pay for a news station to run on PBS.
Anyway, it's just an idea...
