A breaking story I saw reported on tonight on WorldNetDaily.com. The FTC and FDA are threatening to basically shutdown a national provider of natural alternative health options because they do not recommend Big Pharma drugs. This battle could have huge ramifications for our health freedom fights folks!

Digg this article and send a message to the government to get out of our health, speech, and privacy!

As far as I can tell, this is just the government cracking down on frauds and con-artists shelling out their "natural medicine"

Caveat Emptor. They have every right to shell out their "natural medicine".

If someone buys a pill believing that it will be a good substitute in the event of cancer or a broken leg, then they deserve to suffer.

They need to be able to demonstrate that their products do what they claim they do. Otherwise, they are frauds.

Mitt Romney, countless testimonies are posted in support of what these herbs can do. There is no label on the products claiming facts and so forth. Only recommendations to seek these as alternatives as opposed to pharma drugs.

In a legal fight, the burden of proof lies on the prosecution to prove something is guilty of fraud. In this instance, the government is the prosecution and the burden of proof is on them to disprove the effectiveness of the herbs thousands of people rely on for good health.

If you can't see the basic freedom concept of supporting health freedom for folks without the government regulating every nook and cranny, I have no idea why you're on this forum.

This is the problem. The big guys can afford to do the studies and get FDA approval. The people using the 'natural' remedies are not going to get any studies done because there is little to no money to be made selling those items.

If the FDA wants studies done to determine if those products do what they claim they do, then the FDA should fund and do it's own studies. (We can only hope they are not biased by big money when they do them.)

For instance, if somebody was selling Orange Juice and claiming it cures scurvy, the FDA would say it has not been approved by them because there has been no study done to prove it does. Vitamin C however, does cure scurvy and Orange Juice contains vitamin C. It's just very expensive to prove to the FDA that it does what they claim it does. Let the FDA prove it doesn't do what they claim it does.

Yeah, everything the government gives a green light to works wonderfully.
