Thomas Barnett: The Pentagon's new map for war and peace

http://www.ted.com/index.php/talks/thomas_barnett_draws_a_new_map_for_peace.html

In this bracingly honest talk, international security strategist Thomas Barnett outlines a post-Cold War solution for the foundering U.S. military that is both sensible and breathtaking in its simplicity: Break it in two.

Thomas Barnett

Why you should listen to him: Thomas P.M. Barnett's bracing confidence and radical recommendations make him a powerful force shaping the future of the US military.
In his book The Pentagon's New Map: War and Peace in the Twenty-First Century, Barnett draws on a fascinating combination of economic, political and cultural factors to predict and explain the nature of modern warfare. He presents concrete, world-changing strategies for transforming the US military -- adrift in the aftermath of the Cold War and 9/11 -- into a two-tiered power capable not only of winning battles, but of promoting and preserving international peace.
Thomas has been a senior adviser to military and civilian leaders in a range of offices, including the Office of the Secretary of Defense, the Joint Staff, Central Command and Special Operations Command. During the tumultuous period from November 2001 to June 2003, he advised the Pentagon on transforming military capabilities to meet future threats. He led the five-year NewRuleSet.Project, which studied how globalization is transforming warfare. The study found, among other things, that when a country's per-capita income rises above ~$3,000, war becomes much less likely.
Barnett is unusually outspoken in a field cloaked in secrecy. His follow-up book is Blueprint for Action: A Future Worth Creating, and he writes regular columns for Esquire and the Knoxville News Sentinel. He also maintains a prolific blog, where he covers current global events.
"One of the most important strategic thinkers of our time."

This is not peace.

Intervention and bigger government to implement that plan is not peace.

Unless, war is peace.

What he is saying is.. that when you go to war, you have to plan for all aspects of the war. The people in charge now just crush everyone with a leviathon and then ask the same 18 year old who is butchering people to hand out aid, and then back to blowing people's heads off... the tomorrow, handing out aid.

Are we to the point where we pimp Globalist's agendas and methods now?

He mentioned earlier being like the IMF.. and later that the National Guard as the aid givers would obliterate Posse Comitatus in the U.S. (about 19:00)
"..that's what the National Guard's going to be".

Seems like he's advising the Globalist Empire building elite that they're doing it all wrong and how to do it correctly.

Basically setting up a police state with the Military. Like good cop bad cop.

The "bad cop" part of the military destroys the country and then the "good cop" part of the Military comes in and controls the population.

That's just super.

All he's suggesting is to have a divided delegation of responsibility among troops.

A separately trained military to handle peacekeeping and aid after we destroy a country.

I don't see where that helps us afford to keep being an Empire building policemen of the world type society.

How about we just stop trying to rule the world?

You know, stay here unless attacked and stop trying to figure out how to take over countries and install favorable/controllable governments.

That guy should be a comedian. He's sure is good at getting laughs when talking about killing a hell of a lot of people. That is one hella evil SOB.

Side bar:
Chicago 's been mentioned a lot in terms of a new false flag operation, and this Globalist guy was fixated on there being 3 million dead there.
If I lived there, I'd move. They tend to broadcast their plans ahead of time.
