I'm hoping for Biden only because of the humor he provides on the campaign trail. I don't agree with many of his policies, but the guy is pretty funny. Biden and RP have one thing in common, they both like to make fun of Rudy.

Why would you all think Obama would choose Biden as his running mate?

Biden is the favorite of whom? Obama? The mainstream media? The Demo(n)cratic Party?

Where do the gamblers get their information from concerning this? How can they be so sure?

He said it was someone "strong" on the economy. That eliminates Biden and Dodd, they are foreign policy "experts." Everyone else is still open, however.

Richardson's name came up early on, but they stopped talking about him as a serious consideration awhile ago for some reason. I feel he would have added more to the ticket than Biden.

Well, he is the only one who is truly strong on the economy, that is why I had the word in quotations.

Well they can't be sure, that's why it's gambling. For one, Biden isn't such an overwhelming favorite to where he can be considered a lock. As is stands right now, gamblers see Biden at 40%, Bayh at 25%, and Sebelius, Kaine, and Clinton anywhere from 10-15%. That being said, underestimating the knowledge of gamblers in general is not a good idea. These people are putting their money on the line, usually for a reason. (Note, yes some gamblers are really stupid, but added all together, the betting line is usually close to telling the truth.)

On the night of the Florida Primary, McCain and Romney were viewed as about even to win the primary. In a flash, all the money went on McCain, as this was long before any MSM outlet had called it, and I believe, before voting was finished. At that point, it was obvious to me McCain was going to win FL, because there would be no other reason for all the money to move so quick. Somebody knew something, and it was over from there.

Im going to make a prediction that the money will move on intrade to the correct candidate before Obama announces his choice to the MSM.

Its John Kerry.

He's probably the most respected democrat with regards to foreign policy experience, something Obama lacks mightily. You and I might disagree with Biden, but to the avg. voter he is seen as very experience on foreign policy matters.

Bayh's a stiff, no personality. The most important thing with Bayh, I would think, is that the democrats can't afford to lose his Indiana Senate seat, as his seat would be an automatic loss to the Republicans, since Bayh is the only popular democrat in Indiana.

Don't be so surprised to see Gov. Mitch Daniels lose the upcoming election. Indiana's a red state, yes, but he's not very well liked...at least in the south-western part of the state. Bayh is a little stiff, I agree, but he's a much more recognizable (and marketable) candidate than Biden. Could you imagine the star-power of an Obama-Bayh ticket?

You are exactly correct, "My Man Mitch" and his bus are not going to win re-election.

I remember the election between Kernan and Daniels vividly while I was at ND... I did not get involved.

From the rumblings of some of my old friends who got stuck in St. Joseph county (the surprise Obama county during the primaries) it seems that Mitch has grown really unpopular.

I don't know if Bayh would be that much of Star Power... maybe I'm wrong.

I know Even Bayh. I used to live in Indiana and my family is good friends with his aunt. Star power...? Evan is as boring of a human being as I have ever met. I would rather watch paing dry.

In my opinion, it will be Biden. He is the next dick cheney. He isnt looking to run for pres in 8 years, so he can be the hammer and make stuff happen because he doesnt care about the political repurcussions.
The smartest move for Obama is Richardson. With him on the ticket, it opens up Florida, Georgia, Alabama, SOuth Carolina and maybe Mississippi. It just about locks down Ohio and Indiana because of the influx in Hispanica over the past few years. I have already predictied that if he takes Richardson that they will get aroun 300 electorals total. (and I am not bad at this predicting thing. I got the last election to the exact number)
