yes;) the target center holds many more then their puny gop convention center, let alone they(gop) had to borrow millions to even pay people to work their own convention, since many volunteers aka me and many others pulled out of the volunteer list!!! the gop is a total embarrassment to themselves.
I hope folks tivo all the msm coverage for our rally, the gop convention should be titled BORING;)

Actually the Xcel and the Target Center's capacities are similar, but there are after all just ~4500? delegates and alternates in total, so from there it all depends on how many guests, observers, press are in the building at any given time.

I could look it up, but I'm being lazy.

How many people does the Target Center hold? I've seen everything from 10k to 15 k.

Also, has anybody announced the headlining band?

but we will pack it in for our convention, the only excitement at the gop convention will be our supporters:)

They should just cancel the gop convention, save our tax payer money!!!

Both arenas hold close to 20k if they are using all possible seating in all directions around a center stage and go standing room as well. Numbers published are dependent on how much of the floor gets seating, whether they are going to put obstructed view behind stage setups for sale, etc.

MSM and Minneapolis spin says about 45k total for the RNC. However, I think that includes all players, reporters, candidates, etc, etc.

I recalled HEARING of the RNC packing in over 50k in 2004, but don't take my word for it, I couldn't find a source with a number.

Unfortunately, the correct answer is no.
