Obama on CNN just now. These are not verbatim, but generally what he said

When talking about "human trafficking" ... "we need to form alliances with foreign governments to share data and information"

When responding to why do you want to be president? "I remember growing up, my mother told me to look at things from other peoples shoes. I remember looking at others with empathy. I want to take that to the presidency and provide for others, help out people get to school," etc... "we are at a crossroads and need to make some decisions about the future of our country"

And....

Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama said Saturday that America's greatest moral failure is its insufficient help to the disadvantaged.

Obama noted that the Bible quotes Jesus as saying "whatever you do for the least of my brothers, you do for me." He said the maxim should apply to victims of poverty, sexism and racism.

I have a funny feeling that Obama, if elected, will only have two years to implement his crap. After that he will have an opposition congress elected, be impeached, or something else will happen to impede him.

McCain unfortunately is a bit more stealth and appeals to the set that votes the most, elderly veterans.

I know, and this Pastor Rick Warren is a prick too.

Yep.. I hope you're not just now realizing that Obama is a huge socialist. :)

And.....I would point out that the bible verse does NOT say "whatever the government does for the least of my brothers....". nope, sorry, it says "YOU" as in, the individual. Just because something is good and makes sense on a personal level, doesn't mean everyone should be forced to do it by government decree. This is where most of us, and someone like Obama would disagree on a more philosophical level.

Since this seems to be the thread where we all make big revelations of the obvious, JOHN MCSAME and George W. Bush are big government socialists, too.

Yeah, they are. But not as big a one as Obama, in my opinion. I didn't vote for Bush and I'm not voting for either of these guys.

I think it just goes to show that Obama doesn't necessarily believe in "church and state" secularism. He, just like the neo-con Republicans, are using faith to push an agenda.

And that is wrong. This is something Ron Paul and Bob Barr contrast with Obama on, and once again make them worth voting for.
