View Full Version : Disgruntled GOP Invites Me To Talk About Ron Paul Reps At Next Meeting

The local GOP is not happy with McCain at all. My fiancee and I were invited to share our views at an informal gop meeting Wed. They are worried about out of control spending both at the local and national level. They are worried that McCain and Obama will bring more debt.
They want to talk about how we can stop the spending at the local level and get real fiscal conservatives elected. I know I live in a more Ron Paul friendly area with a few Ron Paul supporters already in office but it looks like the GOP ranks are starting to turn. Details to follow.

What sent this group over the edge is a "REPUBLICAN" is trying to get a state bill passed that would add a FOOD tax!? As if my food is not getting expensive enough.

Well check the voting record of this 'Republican' with the NH HRA. He/She likely did not do well.

Also, he could not succeed in this if not for help by the DEMOCRAPS who have already raised taxes on 20 items as well as spent us into a $250M deficit!

This is just beautiful news. I wish I lived there so I could lend a hand. If they like what you have to say than please ask them to give other Republican leaders a call and suggest that they invite a local RP Republican in to speak.

If I could only get my local GOP to act like yours does. My local GOP has almost a love affair with McCain that goes almost beyond sickening. They truely believe he is a die hard Republican. I guess thats what happens when you are entrenched in a very neo-con area.

Three of the seven new members of the DC Republican Committee (the "state" body) were Ron Paul delegate candidates (yours truly included). They're pretty desperate here, it seems. :D

This is happening here in FLA too. The GOP is sick of holding their nose. And McCain's lack of ability to excite them plus their fear of ObamaNation. Things are happening.

The word 'elected' is highly debatable. Live free or diebold :)

As far as local GOPs are concerned, just parrot the message. They've gotten so far away from their core that it will sound like a broadcast from outer space.

If you want to learn how to shut down nonsense like the "food" tax, check out the following book:

"The Citizens Guide To Fighting Government" by Senator's Steve Symms and Larry Grupp.

The book is essentially a guide to grassroots campaigning, and gives you a play by play on how to influence politicians, organize and generally make things go your way.

Don't procrastinate, get it today. You'll be a much more dangerous activist after reading it.

Anyone that calls themself a conservative that votes for a McCain/Lieberman ticket should be __________________. (fill in the blank)

I see the end-game in action already. The goal is to eventually and literally remove all conservative ideals from our government, and by extension, the populace, to move everyone toward a full socialist society. You can't be good little debt slaves to the elite when you actually care about things like personal liberties, privacy, the rule of law, and the Constitution. It's so obvious and still so few see it.

Something like that yup. McCain openly admits he was thinking about running with KERRY!

people with McCain bumper stickers are the ones that have invited us. You can almost tell they feel ashamed, but fee its their "duty" to support McCain because he has a R next to his name.

This is why the Republican Party has done so well despite having always been smaller--the team player mentality that loves to win! win! win! more than they love principle. This is also why the public at large is getting sick to death of the G.O.P. somewhat faster than its getting sick to death of the Democratic Party. Yes, we're winning. We are.

It is indeed time, ItsTime. Knock 'em dead!

The people of your area are disgruntled about McCain for a reason, focus on these points. Emphasize that this election is on what the role of the Federal Government should be.

EDIT: sry guess it's over.

I just learned they have invited Libertarian and Ron Paul Rep local candidates. I guess the issue at hand is how we are going to get them elected before we lose all our seats to the dems.

Are you taking notes BTM? this is how its done, make allies with the Reps and Ls not the Dems.

well I just got back from the meeting.

Both me and my fiancee were asked to join the committee. There were 3 other Ron Paul republicans that had already filled committee seats. So now our counties committee has 5 out of 8 Ron Paul Republicans. The other three are very liberty minded people.

Boy were they mad when I gave them the news that Lieberman will be speaking at the GOP convention.

I think we can get a lot of work getting liberty minded and Ron Paul Republicans into office. Not really much to report. They understand the Republican party has lost its way and are reaching out for help. But I did make it clear that I can not support neo-cons. They were fine with that.

Now THAT is change. I say let's let the Republicans (Neo-cons) go down as fast as they can. So they can beg for help from us.

Ohhh fark. I just thought of this.

Do you think that they don't care about Lieberman speaking.. because there will be temporary outrage, but they will give Mccain the election (look at the damn polls, its fken retarded Obama shld be destroying)- so the diehard Republicans will no doubt, go ok - well we Won again... by moving to the democrat side; with mccain & Lieberman...

But it will MAKE IT HARDER / impossible for Ron Paul from running / advancing against the republican party / old hates / douchebags, if McCain gets into office..

Well I talked about the reason we are losing is because Republicans are acting the Demarcates, they agreed with that, then I poked them with the Lieberman pin as an example ;). To get people to understand its all about the build up, kinda like foreplay and sex.

I saw my first McCain yard sign last week, right outside of Shiner TX when I was on a trip.

After that, I have begun to see a few McCain stickers scattered about. Not many though, luckily.

I don't think I even saw McCain signs before our primary.

I really hope McCain takes Lieberman as VP. It will pull over many democrats, to be sure, the ones that are looking at a very liberal Republican ticket.

But the conservatives will flock away, and I think that means that it will drag him down.

So, Obama winning puts in the reformed GOP party.

As long as McCain makes it through the convention with a Lieberman VP, this could work.
