I took the AOL poll numbers when it first hit these boards as a pretty accurate poll of how the people of AOL know the candidates and how they feel about them. Honestly, we (the Ron Paul loyalists) are in a bubble of some kind. We will eventually burst from that bubble when Ron Paul gets noticed, but right now we are a minority of the American people. Anyways, I ran some calculations that took into account all the stats, especially how well people knew the candidates and ranked them. The ranking represents the current potential of the candidate in the future assuming nothing changes. Here are the Rankings.

Giuliani Rep
Obama Dem
Clinton Dem
McCain Rep
Edwards Dem
Romney Rep
Richardson Dem
Paul Rep
Tancredo Rep
Thompson Rep
Hunter Rep
Huckabee Rep
Kucinich Dem
Biden Dem
Gilmore Rep
Brownback Rep
Gravel Dem
Dodd Dem

I've got Ron Paul 8th among all candidates right now. The only 2nd tier candidate above him is Richardson and according to my calculations he is only about 1.2% above Ron Paul. Now this is not an opinion piece, this is just a statistical analysis of the AOL poll which I thought was a fairly accurate snapshot of the state of the candidates with the American people.

Thanks.
