Carol Paul, wife of U.S. Congressman Ron Paul, continued to improve Thursday.
“She has given us some big scares over the past 48 hours, but things appear to be improving and there is room for cautious optimism,” Paul spokesperson Jesse
Benton reported at CampaignforLiberty.org, a political community site Paul’s office was using to update readers of Carol Paul’s condition.
She remained in a Houston hospital’s critical care unit Thursday, recovering from a surgery late Tuesday, her third surgery in five days.
On Monday, Paul’s office confirmed Carol Paul was in a Houston hospital’s intensive care unit after being admitted Aug. 7.
No information has been released by Paul’s office concerning what surgery Carol Paul had or why she was admitted to a hospital.
Paul remained by his wife’s side Thursday, along with some of the couple’s children and grandchildren, Benton reported.
