My comments for the Q&A video were as follows:
(actually the version below is somewhat expanded)

"Soups basis for argument is so logically flawed it is beyond belief. Some brief points in refutation:

1. The only entity capable of taking away freedom is government.

2. The only entity capable of inciting hatred serving as the motivation for 911 events is government through flawed policy.

3. The only effective defense against non state actors is covert yet direct means like marque and reprisal letters and intelligence/police actions.

4. The only effective way to spread democracy is by example.

5. The best defense against state actors is to concentrate military power close to home.

6. Any state or non-state actors that INITIATE violence against the United States have to be punished
with an APPROPRIATE and MEASURED response which is in line with the other principles outlined here.

7. America IS defined by its CONSTITUTION.
Without an effectively protected and enforced constitution there is no america, there is only a failed state. A failed experiment in liberty.
That cannot and should not be tolerated by americans. Remember, the founding fathers and early americans fought and died to give
that which is taken for granted today.

Destroy the constitution from within and the "War On Terror" is LOST. The terrorists win because their actions converted a free society
into a totalitarian one, which makes subsequent perversion of the same society MUCH MUCH easier because the people are no longer
in any position to resist any changes and the government which can be corrupted rather easily it seems,
guides the society in whatever direction it pleases.

Thus, it can be argued an effective destruction of America consists of 2 stages:
Stage 1 is conversion of a free state into a totalitarian regime.
Stage 2 is left to the whims of the supreme ruler.

Sum argument?

Protect constitution AT ALL COSTS against ALL ENEMIES FOREIGN and DOMESTIC.

In other words, vote for RON PAUL."

Intelligent reader will quickly realise that BUSH's miserably short-sighted and misguided foreign policy is actually doing the very opposite of what is needed in order to strengthen America's defenses against the threat of terrorism.

It is obvious to all but the most ignorant that the Al Qaeda of today is a far stronger organisation than that of September the 10th. It is almost inevitable that over time, sufficient new recruits will coalesce that will make another 911 a very real possibility BECAUSE US actions are strengthening the resolve of the fanatics who would suicide rather than weakening it.

What US should have done I.M.H.O. is pursue Al-Qaeda using appropriate means, further secure it's borders AND stay out of political processes of Middle Eastern countries.

If the claims of Islamofascist madness in M.E are true, then by all means let them kill each other, rather than finding a convenient and actually quite justified scape goat such as US and focus their hatred outwards towards the same.
