My question is if they have endorsed a candidate before, rather than running their own. Because if this is the first time they're endorsing, it just shows you the direction the Democratic Party has gone in.

I would say that it's a good sign when the Communist Party is so small it can't even field a candidate. Unfortunately, the truth is it really, really doesn't need to any more...

P.S. Is anyone planning on protesting at the DNC in Denver? If so, what better way than to masquerade as the Communist Party and demonstrate in favor of Obama?

Does anyone else have a problem with pursuing and pushing this sort of thing?

I mean, isn't this the same type of thing we fought so hard defending Ron Paul against?
How many times did Ron have to say "look just because some group supports me doesn't mean I support them"?

I guess it just rubs me the wrong way that's all.

Interesting point. All I know to say is that the Communist Party isn't just talking Obama up because they think he will leave them the hell alone. Most of our strange bedfellowes during the primaries had just that--and no other--motivation.
