I remember a bunch of YouTubers did a get together where they all went on the same cruise and met up with each other, etc.

Might I point out that Galveston is in Ron Paul country? ie his district? I strongly suggest we depart from there. :)

Good point Galveston being Ron Pauld district and Voyager of Sea, a mega ship, docks outta that port.

You won't catch me on a Caribbean cruise from Galveston.

That would be like going back to work.:D

Caribbean in the winter, Alaska in the summer

I could do Galveston- its pluses:
+ it's more central than Florida (you can hit the same destinations anyway).
+ It is Dr. Paul's district.
+ It's a short drive for me. :)

The next big question would be, how many days? IIRC, they have 3, 5, 7 etc... 3-5 might be a best fit for most but that's another poll. :)

I totally agree with this. And not just because it's only 3 1/2 hours from where I live. :D

There's only a 1% chance I would actually go but Seattle to Alaska would be best.
I don't want to leave from Texas or go in the Caribbean and I am not in Erupoe(sic).
I also would want to do a winter trip if it's in Alaska.

Washington state to Alaska? Sounds like the perfect route to liberty. :)

Galveston for me. It's a 10 hour drive, but still closer than any of the other ports, plus I have family down there. If I remember correctly, there is also a Royal Caribbean ship that docks there as well. There is also an occasional transatlantic ship that goes there (from England, I believe).

I took a cruise on Voyager of the Seas a couple of years ago. Best vacation I ever took.

I would just like to point out that Ron Paul supporters are overwhelmingly male. I seem to recall the New York Times claiming our exit polling data showed that 85% of Ron Paul supporters were doods.

This cruise will be a sausage fest.

Just FYI.

Maybe if we go on more cruises we will garner more female Paul supporters.

That's why this is going to be a couples event- or didn't you get the memo? ;) :p :)

Cruises are like mini-big governments. They out number us. International waters crimes are always sketchy. NO THANKS

This sounds fun. I endorse this idea. Plus we've been thinking about going on our first cruise anyway. And in fact we were thinking about the Caribbean as well.

We need a Ron Paul cruise website (ronpaulcruise.com?)....preferably with a doctored-photograph of Ron Paul in a Hawaiian shirt somewhere on it.

Would the Ron Paul cruise actually have Ron Paul on it?

Instead of "Ron Paul" cruise we should have it be something more open....

Liberty Cruise 09'

Nah. It should be 'Ron Paul cruise', to show the brand of liberty with which the people on the cruise identify with.

Everyone say they're for liberty. Bush says it. Socialist party members say it. 'Liberty Cruise' can apply to anybody.

$800 to go party on a boat? No thanks! I can certainly think of better / more productive ways to spend that kind of cash if I had it. A social gathering can be done much more cheaply in a central landbased location, and the difference in cost put towards more productive uses. If you have $800 of disposable income to blow, why not use it to get freedom-supporting candidates elected or re-elected? Of course, it's not my place to tell anyone what to actually do with their money, but I'd rather see that kind of cash go towards Ron's 2010 Congressional campaign, or helping to convince him to run for prez in 2012.

Some people do not live for this movement, I imagine.

If it is going to the Caribbean from Galveston, of course.

if you can easily harvest fish/shrimp from the surrounding sea and grow plants on top... it would be worth it.

The cheapest one, anywhere between September and December 2009. That's just me.

This would increase the amount of people who could afford to go.
