I will be reaching out to some businessmen to see what kind of money I could raise for this.

Who among of you are willing to kick in and how much can you pledge? I want to gauge the fundraising potential for this before I move forward.

The Founding Fathers Ad (not an insert) in the New Hamphire Union Leader would raise lots of eyebrows and awareness. Who's with me and how much can you ante up when the time comes?

If full page is too much...we can price out 1/2...

Use the generalized mosaic ad. It is way better.

This is by far the best ad to run:

Thanks for all of your work, Max.

I cross-posted this over at the NH Underground's forum:

Except it was made specifically for the Iowa Straw Poll. Running that ad without modifications anywhere at this point would make Dr. Paul look like an idiot.

This is one of Lord Xar's ads. I'm sure he would get it changed, if this is the one everyone wants to run.

2nd that:
how much does it cost, and how many people subscribe to the newspaper?

Sounds like an excellent idea.

Yeah.. I am not sure where the sticky link went, but this file AND the mosaic ad are already generically altered and available for download here:

REMEMBER: these are the source files, and can be modified.

The mosiac ad is great, but I think the Founding Fathers one would be better to convert undecided/ voters who have never heard of Dr. Paul. It actually explains why you should vote for him.

Dean, wrong ad. Disinter was talking about the FIRST one we ran in Ames. You know, the 1/2 page ad.

no, I know which one.. that link I showed has 'both' of them and basically the download contains both... the user can use whichever one they want.

I researched almost all the newspapers in NH and listed prices for full and half page ads on their busiest days, both black and white and color.

I posted all of it in a thread here.

I don't know where it went but I know it is here.

sales rep in NH told me 7114 for full page.....700 more for color

3515 for half .. 700 more for color

not bad...half is actually pretty large because its a broadsheet format..

This is NH's main newspaper.

OK...I'm pledging $1000 for the Founding Fathers Flyer....Let's see how much we can do in pledges. When we approach the target, we'll set up a collection mechanism

$1000 for Founding Fathers Flyer

My 2 cents -- the Founding Fathers "we warned you" ad is the best I've seen this entire campaign. Extraordinarily powerful.

Are those quotes for a weekday insertion or a Sunday insertion? (Maybe it's the same, I don't know.) A lot more people read the paper on Sunday.

Agreed, the FF Ad would play better in NH.

Here's what I was given by the person at the NHUL when I called early in August.

Union Leader

(603) 668-4321

Sunday's busiest, Thursday next...

Circulation is around 79000 on Sun, 57000 during the week.

During week,

BW Full page: 5147.51 This is the contract rate

Half page: open rate - 2568.00

Color added: 615.00

Sunday,

BW Full page: 5597.57

Half page: open rate - 3023.00

Same color added rate.

----

Take note: Sunday circulation is their biggest day at 79000. This is for a half page ad in the newspaper, not for an insert.

:)

btw, when I was checking Google Adwords rates for Seminary I discovered that you can now buy newspaper and radio ads thru Google Adwords. Didn't check the rates but might be something to check out.

wouldn't a double sided insert be a lot cheaper?

The cost of printing up your own inserts usually makes it about the same as getting a print ad, and inserts are usually mixed in with all the coupons and crap and are more likely to get tossed.
