NewsX.info is a non-profit corporation, which has a goal of promoting massive amounts of information not readily available from the mainstream media, the classroom, or any other single website. We want to bring all the information to one place. This takes a lot of time and effort. As a result, we are looking for volunteers for various positions. All volunteer positions could move to paid positions depending on future funds.

Positions:

Requirements for all positions:
-Work well independently with little supervision.
-A great desire to fight disinformation.
-A disdain feeling toward the mainstream media.
-A yearning for participation in the infowar.

(1)Editor -- This position is essential for bringing out more of our own content. You would have executive control over when and what content gets published. The newest blog is always published immediately to the NewsX homepage.

Requirements specific to this position:

-Excellent at grammar revisions.
-Cool head for dealing with possible negative responses.
-Online often to publish new content.
-Ability to search and find quality blog staff to assist you.

Minimum 10 hours per week.

(2)Documentary Researcher -- This position is extremely important for expanding our documentaries section. Also, if you have web design skills, you could help improve or revamp this section.

Requirements specific to this position:

-Excellent internet researching skills.
-Enjoy watching and evaluating potential new additions.

Minimum 10 hours per week.

(3)Book Researcher -- This position is valuable for expanding our Readings section. This position, like the documentary researcher, can help with the web aspect if you already have the skills.

Requirements specific to this position:

-Excellent internet researching skills.
-Enjoy reading or doing research on particular books for quality assurance.

Minimum 10 hours per week.

(4)News Category Heads (8 to 10 positions) -- We intend to start adding different content specific to each news category to add some originality. These positions are crucial to promoting information in the ongoing infowar.

Requirements specific to this position:

-Internet design creativity. ***You don't necessarily need web design experience.*** There could be some training involved if you are ambitious or just bring us your ideas.
-Excellent internet research skills for new content

Minimum hours: 5 hours per week.

If you would like to volunteer with any other aspect of the website, just ask. Iím ready to find help from like-minded people.

Also: Let me clarify something about the post; these positions are all online only and we will work with you as much as possible regarding time. Actually, when you volunteer, the time of day doesn't matter as much as what you can do with that time. :)

We are still looking for a few more people. We have several volunteers in various areas, but still haven't made decisions on who's in charge of what. Just want to make sure everyone gets a chance at this opportunity if they want it.

**Of course, as a result of volunteering, I would be willing to write up any documentation to help further your career or education.

Thanks,

Zeke

Last call for alcohol...oh wait. ;D Maybe we could get this stickied so all interested has a chance. I want to find people regularly if they feel the urge to make a difference in the infowar. Thanks, Zeke
