To have a united front of the old right....we REALLY need Pat Buchanan at the convention with Paul.

Why does he show no interest?

He's positioned himself as a pundit/commentator so he wont take sides.

But look at his website. The people blogging there said Pat fans should go to the rally...

On Pats blog he promoted Ron's book and the revolution March. I don't know why he wouldn't support this.

Pat's already on our side. The more he openly supports Ron Paul the less respect he'll garnish from the neo-cons. That's just the way it is.

Linda, his wemaster, plugged the rally in a recent email. She said she was coming

We may just have to rely on a new right.

That's a bit harsh. My screen name is JS4Pat as in John Stevens for Pat Buchanan. I worked for his 2000 Reform Party Presidential campaign and know him personally.

He has disappointed me politically on various occasions but he is a good man and we should consider him an ally not an enemy.

Just my opinion...

There's not enough pitchforks there for Pat to want to attend. :P

I wish he would though.

Wow! I disagree with you here. He's not Ron Paul, but he's certainly part of the freedom movement.

Pat Buchanan deserves the benefit of the doubt. He is like a political bean counter. He is thinking bean counter while everyone else thinks operations. That does not make him disingenuous. Check out his back and forth with Larry McDonald.

No one who is part of the freedom movement gets a lot of time on TV.

You'd refuse to go based on that? Wow. You really care, eh?

Pat is mostly legit. No one is as "perfect" as Ron Paul- but we can't shut out everyone who isn't perfect even when they otherwise have it right.

Ron Paul supporters can be so judgmental, its a real turn off.

He has learned the hard way how to play the game and from what I've seen over many years, he is very much with us.

I love Pat Buchanan. I read his book "Where the Right Went Wrong"...boy is he a truth teller. I am now reading "The Great Betrayal". He is a Great American and a Great Patriot. He is right up there with Ron Paul , Thomas Jefferson and George Washington. He is a true paleoconservative. Tones

I'll never understand how he didn't get more votes when he ran.

Well, except for the fraud stuff.
