My letter:

Jack, the real question is not so much "is the media fair to both parties?" as it should be "is the media fair to non-establishment candidates of either party?" The blathering empty suits of both parties get more than enough coverage, but the true patriots standing up and standing out in this campaign, especially Ron Paul and Dennis Kucinich, are virtually ignored or, short of that, berated, laughed at, and marginalized.

mine:

The media is certainly not fair in their coverage, but mostly in their coverage of various "tiers" of candidates. Amazingly, it seems that the media has not recognized that their incessant coverage of certain candidates help reinforce their position in the minds of Americans. This plays out in both media coverage and in debate speaking time.

There are many examples of unequal treatment of candidates in the media, such as coverage of various straw poll events. Not surprisingly, any straw poll that is won by a "top tier" candidate receives wide coverage, while the others do not. Fair? Hardly.

We should stop associating Ron Paul with Kucinich.

Paul has been way more successful and is building momentum daily. I'm sure Dennis is a nice guy and all, but still.

Paul has been way more successful and is building momentum daily.

That's the point. If the media was doing its job, both Paul and Kucinich would be killing right now.

I hope someone's ready to YouTube this, because I have a feeling Jack's gonna be flooded!

My response:

It depends on what channel you are watching. Fox is for the Neo-Cons/Socialists. CNN is for the Democrat/Socialists. There really isn't anybody out there giving a fair shake to TRUE Democrats like Kucinich, or TRUE Republicans like Ron Paul.

This is why people are turning to the internet for news and information. The Mainstream Media has an agenda, and nobody really trusts it anymore.

he mentioned the: no, they ignore good candidates like Ron Paul, Biden, Kucinich becuase the haven't raised much money. And the reason they haven't raised much money is because of lack of exposure...its a vicious cycle

I can't believe Jack Cafferty (for the most part) played the partisan game just like the rest of 'em, setting up the old "blame the other party" jubilee. The media is seriously herding us around like sheep by using collectivist Pavlovian labels to keep us at eachother's throats instead of looking at individuals and the merits of their candidacies. Dang people, this is a real beast we're up against.

well Ron Paul hasn't raised much money in comparison because he isn't taking donations from special interests/corporations/etc.
