Thanks for all of you who donated to the Chip-In, big shout out to Mr. Cowlsey as well.

http://rally.campaignforliberty.com/sponsors/

We should have a 10x10 booth as long as they don't have 50 sponsors above the friend level. It doesn't look like this will be a problem. :) MTMedlin said he will get us a nice banner for the booth.

Liberty Straw Poll (http://www.libertystrawpoll.com/) tickets will be sold there.

We may buy some stickers with the extra chipin money and have them at our booth. :D Post any ideas you may have for the booth.

Our electronic banner will be rotated with the other sponsors, we should hold some kind of a graphic contest here shortly for it.

It's a huge 32 x 5556 pixels!

+1 on the graphics contest.
Also- last i heard, MTMedlin needed someone to help design the banner.

Don has a thank you thread here: http://www.ronpaulforums.com/showthread.php?t=149459

Let it be known that the forums is an official friend of the campaign for liberty!

Wow, how is it possible to fill up that much space? Idea! We should donate some space to BJ Lawson's campaign. =D

Woohoo!

Are you still taking donations?

Times are tight, and my wife says I'm not allowed to donate any more, but I just got an unexpected $200 check and I feel like tithing to a good cause.

At the booth you definitely need to have some kind of signup, whether it's with wi-fi laptops, sign-up sheets where people give their email, or slips of paper to fill out.

It would also be nice to have name tags. You could print up blanks, something like the ones give.me.liberty has in this thread:

32 x 5556 pixels, is that correct? I've worked with some odd image sizes before, but this one takes the cake. That's like 173 desktop icons lined up in a single row.

Any more details on the graphic? how many colors can be used? is it moving? does it scroll, up to down, let to right?

And can it be animated, or just a static image?

Here's a screen cap from targetcenter.com that shows the banner that goes around the stadium, where it says "Minnesota Timberwolves" repeatedly:

Ah, ok. Now the 32 pixels makes sense.

Here is a link to the word doc with specs: http://www.filefactory.com/file/f9ee1f/n/Target_Center_Graphic_Specs_doc

We can make an animated .mov that can last 30 seconds. Would be really sweet, but a static image would suffice.

I'm not sure if we know anyone with those skills?

Yes, I will need someone to design it. I have l33t skills in "Paint" but other then that I would have to get my older brother (who is the other owner of our company and graphic artist....who is a little pissed that I am giving this away but F him it was my money that started the company anyway!) to design it and I dont think he will.

anybodies help is appreciated. To print I usually like photoshop files and make them fairly large, other wise I have to run it through geniune fractals and sharpen it up, which is a pain in the ass.

Any idea the Banner size you want?

ps. I am working on an animated ANC LED Fascia Signage - just need to figure how to convert it to video at the 14750 x 32 size...

If its 10 ft wide, then I would say 4x10. My printer only goes up to 48 inches.

I just read the word doc. It's really confusing:

"Still images will be displayed on both sidelines of the venue with stats at each end behind the baskets. Animations will be shown on the full ring during halftime and in between quarter breaks. During game time, animations will be displayed with stats at each end."

For the animation, they actually require a 30 fps .mov or .avi file. That takes quite a bit more work than a static image. They have the capability to do an animation all the way around the stadium, at a whopping 32 x 14,720.

I'm considering taking a stab at an animation, but before I do I want to make sure that they specifically said that we just get a static or animated image at 32 x 5556.

Also, how about the scoreboard? Might as well take as much as we can get. :D

"In addition to the 360 degree ANC LED video fascia board there will be 8 LED strips on the scoreboard (two on each side of the four-sided scoreboard, one upper and one lower ribbon per side)."

And yeah, there are some people here with these skills. ;)

Hmm, after reading it, I am not quite sure.

The animated images would take up the full ring I guess?

I will email and ask about it.

Whats a good dimension mtmedlin? If I were to design a 10 x 3 foot banner, are we talking a file that is 1000px x 300px or 10000 x 3000?

For a print of that size, 100 dpi is probably the highest you'll really need.

With a 10x booth, You might consider a banner just under 10 feet to allow for flat hanging... If the actual booth dimensions are a few inches shorter than 10ft...

I'd go 9.5 or something to be safe...

A 10 x 3 foot banner at 100 dpi would be 12000px x 3600px. That's a big-ass Photoshop file.

I am just wondering.. If i made an animated banner for the target center that was 32px by 1800px would it just repeat around the whole center? Or do we need to make the full 32px by 14750px ?...hopefully someone can get info for me....

A static image is easy to do, the animated would be better if I can get this info.

100 dpi is going to look fuzzy unless I spend a few hours running it through Genuine Fractals and then using a sharpening tool. We make instore graphics that are 4x2 and I wont use less then 200 dpi. In this case 400 dpi would be nice. If needed, zip it and then hit send just before going to bed. I can pull it up on the server and print directly from there.
Ill print it on a nice 13 mil glossy vinyl. Itll look nice. :D
