Work on the civil suit over what happened in Nueces County has been ongoing since the State Convention ended, and the case is now ready to be filed. However, the needed funds are not yet there. Currently we have around $5,000 of the $17,500 needed to get this off the ground with Gary Polland, the attorney of our choice. Himself a grassroots Republican activist, Gary has a deep understanding of the relevant election code and party history and we believe he brings a lot to the case.
The case must move forward regardless. The Nueces delegates have therefore set a fundraising deadline of August 6th to raise the needed funds to file with Gary as lead counsel. If the needed funds are not raised by tomorrow, they will move forward with a cheaper local attorney and hope for the best.
Please help us with one last push. Donate $10 or $20 yourself and promote the chipin to your friends and anyone else who is tired of abuses and power plays. If we do not fight this now we may not have a voice to fight it in the future.
