Is it me or did the interview start oddly? There was no announcement Paul was coming on as is usually the case for big guests. Alex ended mid sentence on the price of oil, then the interview came on like it had been underway for a few minutes.

I don't sense intentional dishonesty. Perhaps some rapid cycling emotions, but voice stress appears genuine (the prisonplanet.tv video feed has been helpful for looking at jones for truthfulness). You can clearly tell he never reads from a script, and the motions of his eyes indicate that he is going completely off the cuff.
