Oh, I guess it wasn't Freeople itself but a video posted on the site.

Well I just visited Freeople for the first time in a long time and I got an error message. "Too Many Connections"

I guess I got my answer why!

I got to browse and I didn't see much activity past the blogs, is there a section I'm missing? Oh well, I'm sure it will grow and I might write up a blog post soon as well.

looks like their servers cant handle diggers :rolleyes:

this happened to my website once, but Freeople is a bigger site... should have better servers

I don't know. I'm sure Ron will update us. It is back up, with errors at the moment.

I would imagine they are a bit busy :eek:

Yeah I posted what happened on Freeople. The database "max connections" setting had never been changed from the default, which is 100 simultaneous users. Once this was exceeded the site came crashing down!

Had a few issues with the hosting provider and getting them to reboot the server minus problematic services. Once we finally got in and upped the max connections, we haven't had any problems since. Thanks for your patience!
