View Full Version : ABC News Calls Ron Paul Speakers at Rally for the Republic "Nerds"

The ABC News article calling Ron Paul speakers "nerds" or not "much better," "bedraggled," and misnaming the Rally a "shadow" convention, is the #1 search result for "Ron Paul" at Google News today, as a result of ABC News hosting it.
This is the exact type of marginalization and name-calling in mainstream junk journalism that results in the general public ignoring Ron Paul, without a second thought.
1) Have a look at the 'journalist' calling Ron Paul supporters nerds:

2) Then make him famous, teach him about blowback in this satirical digg here :D:
http://digg.com/politics/Nerds_5
3) Then you might want to stop by and see the article, which is still the #1 Google News result for "Ron Paul" at this moment:

It's not "just some random blog," when it is posted on ABC News and as a result is listed as #1 search result for "Ron Paul" at Google News.
If it was just some random blog, I would have completely ignored it.

Yes, governer of a city :D, and the wrong city no less.
Believe me, this guy really deserves to be fired. Let him print his little blogs on his own site. We don't need this garbage posted on major networks and at the top of google.
His entire article tries to make fun of the Rally for The Republic.

Here's the general email I sent out:
For your consideration,
Z. Byron Wolf is embarrassingly shallow, immediately resorting to elementary school name-calling in the first few sentences of this ABC News article, calling people "nerds" and "bedraggled." This article is ranked #1 on Google News for "Ron Paul."
Who is Wolf calling "nerds" - former Congressmen, board of directors of the National Rifle Association, President Ronald Reagan's associate deputy attorney general, and even fellow journalists
What type of 'journalist' is so insecure that he has to result to misnaming a convention "shadow" and calling people childish names, like "nerds" all within the title and first few sentences of his article?
Ultimately, Z. Byron Wolf is an embarrassment for ABC News.

Don't forget, this is the guy that misreported that Ron Paul dropped out in March, and before that, even though he was covering Ron Paul for ABC News, reported that there were only 5 candidates left after Hunter dropped out when Ron Paul would have made 6 - he didn't even count the candidate he was assigned to cover.

My message was short and simple
"I recently read Byron Wolf's article on the upcoming Rally for the Republic hosted by Ron Paul and other conservatives and independents, and felt truly ashamed for your company as I finished reading it.
I personally would be embarassed if I saw work of this quality emerging under my supervision. The article was not only glazed with negative overtones, it also was childishly innacurate.
For being a professional news organization, I'm honestly surprised that you'd allow such amatuer work to be published under your company's name.
I hope you take this into consideration, and thank you for your time.
