Correct me if I am wrong but I do not see a list of those planning on going to Ronstock, so if you are planning on going post your name here and I'll add it to the list. (This is not for everyone going to the rally, just Ronstock) This way I'll know who to look for and who to avoid ;)
Also add your name even if you are not sure yet whether you will go, we can always take it off later.
I'll start:

I'd consider going but I would need some help. I'd be flying by myself out of LAX and wouldnt have a way to get there or to the events. If I could catch a ride with some of you that would be great (and make some Ron Paul friends!)

Why don't you take the LA Ronvoy route? It's only $175 roundtrip, and then they use that Ronvoy vehicle for transportation in-town as well. It's an option anyway!

You can find it at http://ronvoytotherally.eventbrite.com.

The problem is the Ronvoy only goes to select hotels (which I wouldn't have money for). I would have no way of getting 50 miles to where everyone is camping.

Ronstock is about 3 miles north of the town of Goodhue, MN.

I'm not sure when Kenny is opening and closing, but my guess is as early as Saturday and probably close Wednesday.

How? Bring a tent, food & water and you're set. Minimal facilities. We will have porta potties and I'm trying to rig up some showers (no hot water though).

Also, possibly some speakers and entertainment.

Goodhue is south southeast of Minneapolis near U.S. 52. The town is at the junction of state highway 58 and a Goodhue county road numbered nine. People coming in from the east or southeast will want to take I-90 to U.S. 52 and take it west (actually north by northwest, but it will be marked west) through Rochester, MN and turn north on state highway 58. People coming in through Duluth or from I-94 can take U.S. 63 to state highway 58. The junction will be just across the Mississippi. People coming in from south and southwest can hop off I-90 at U.S. 63, take it north to Rochester, and access U.S. 52 to get to MN 58.

People coming in from the twin cities can take U.S. 52 east to county road nine. Getting in and out of St. Paul can be done by taking either U.S. 52 all the way, or by using the Lafayette Expressway. The expressways around Minneapolis are complicated enough that you might make better time using Hiawatha, which is also state highway 55. This route is not expressway but it is very direct. The state highway 55 signs will take you right to the Target Center. State highway 55 shares pavement with U.S. 52 for a few miles, so it's easy to find.

I'll be checking to see how far out the twin cities' transit system(s) reach, and will post the nearest stop I can find.

I'll also want to stay past Wednesday a little. I have given my word more than once to help clean the place up, so given that I'll earn my keep I hope I'll be welcome...

Taking Metro in from outer suburbs looks lengthy and complicated. For those who are worried about downtown parking, however, or those who simply despise driving in a strange city in downtown traffic, there is a park and ride lot and a light rail station at Ft. Snelling (near the airport and the confluence of the Minnesota and Mississippi Rivers). Exit State Highway 55 at Bloomington Ave. and take train number 55.

This shuttle service only runs once a day, but it will get you to Red Wing which is about 10 miles away. Then maybe someone can make pick ups with a car from there?

Unfortunately, it won't get you there in time to catch the opening of the R4R each morning. It also requires you switch to, for example, train 55 of the Metro to get to downtown.

I was thinking more about people flying in. I expect those with cars and perhaps the bus we are trying to arraign will take care of getting back and forth to Rally events.

Good thought. We could do a mini-Ronvoy ten miles to get people from the shuttle easily enough.

Thanks again, sb. I hope everyone puts in an accurate rsvp early so you can have all the info you need to make it right!

I know we're a bunch of secretive people, but if you want this thing to be slick they need to not be working in the dark.

Also, do cleaners-up earn the right to stay Wednesday night?

Anyone who is still in town can certainly pitch a tent in my yard if the farmer can't accommodate.

I have been talking to the dairy farm owner and he kinda wants everyone out Wed at noon... but if your offering to clean up, he might be ok with that.

We will allow people to get there as early as Friday, but early arrivals will be put to work gathering firewood, setting up the stage, helping with other stuff for the camping, etc... Site is almost done (I am building it) and once approved by dairy farmer, will be live.

I'm sure that will not be a problem;) ,i also wanted you to know when we send out the emails to confirm the site the ones that have signed get first crack at securing spots;) once they give their donation and confirm site from email we send out they will get the exact address of the dairy farm,we will not be posting the address on the site,so everyone after confirming that wants to go ,will be thru word of mouth, just so you know but we have alot of emails so i expect once we send out to confirm it will book up asap;) the email list is the only way to secure a spot;) so if people do not give real name and address and info then they get no spot, this database will only be for the camping registration:) hope that claifys somethings for folks:)

Yes, to stay at Ronstock for 4 days you need to give a donation of at least 20$.

I think it's $20/person to cover the entire event. It's like insurance to cover any possible damages to the property. If there's no damages, it will go to CFL.

Well, I'm traveling with someone from my meetup, and he drives a Civic. Here's my tally right now.

$20 - RonStock Fee
$85 - Training school
$20 - CFL Ticket
$75 - Gas
$200 - Total

I suppose in reality it'll be more like 300, when I include food and gas to and from RonStock each day.
