ME thinks that if Ron Paul wins this poll, the media will NOT take notice. Now, if Fred Thompson wins....that's another story.

If RP gets too many votes early in the game, it might come back to bite us ("spammer" accusations, etc.) That last poll they took him off of made me a bit skittish about that stuff, but I'm probably just being neurotic.

I have Sirius and have tried to call the talk shows to mention Paul but all they have been talking about ad nauseum is the gay senator in the bathroom. I mean, I can't really relate that to Ron Paul.

Yeah, it gets a little frustrating! The "conservative" hosts (who aren't even real conservatives) laugh at and demonize him, and the liberal/progressive hosts never even mention him or remember to make an exception for him when bemoaning the Republican '08 candidates and how they *all* want the war to continue!

Someone oghtta lobby Sirius to get us a moderate, non-biased, non-corporate controlled talk station. I envy the folks who have XM, because they get to listen to "The Power Hour."

I was just looking at the Sirius channel line up and it looks like this guy might be receptive to Ron Paul supporters:

Larry Elder The Larry Elder Show
Weekdays 6 pm - 9 pm ET
Saturdays 6 am - 9 am ET
A self-described "fiscal conservative" and "social liberal," Larry Elder is a true libertarian. He supports the legalization of drugs and a woman's right to choose. He believes in eliminating public welfare and entitlement programs, race and gender-based affirmative action policies and the minimum wage.

Like him or hate him, advertising on Stern would probably be the way to go. His supporters are mostly males 18-40 and stern is pretty moderate. He has endorsed both republicans and democrats in the past. He is anti war, but is pretty much a Zionist. But how he feels about Paul has nothing to do with buying adds. However, if he hears the ad it might get him talking about Paul. His is the #1 radio personality in the US.

UPDATE: Our commanding lead continues, but 75% of the voters in a new poll don't think Ahmedinejad should have been allowed to speak...in America!!!

Maybe Freedom of Speech is "quaint" now too.

He's endorsed Giuliani for mayor multiple times. I'm pretty sure he buys into the america's mayor crap.

That means you already voted awhile back, clear your flash cookies. You have to go in your macromedia flash folder in harddrive/ documnet settings/user/applicationdata/macormedia/flash player/ shared objects/ some folder/ sirius.com/ and manually delete them.

Remember, if you're voting, vote once. Also, make sure to vote on the other polls available on the page as well. Else (I suspect) the votes cast for the Republican Party poll will far exceed the votes cast on the other polls. The other polls look fairly interesting too and it won't take but a few clicks.

Agreed. We should win "with honor" as Huckabee would say!

What about advertising on Sirius, it is cheap and National...Maybe, but I think terrestrial radio might be a better buy because the amount of voters would probably be of higher proportion.

I wish, I suggested as much in my comment. I'd think the Ron Paul demographic would be exactly the type of audience Sirius could target for a few thousand subscriptions. They have "Left" and "Right", both of which kinda suck. Just pandering to Red and Blue.

Its scary that rudy is doing so well. I can't understand how people could ever believe he would be an honest trustworthy leader. He could agree with every single political point I have in my mind (something not even paul does) and I still couldn't bring myself to vote for that man.

I think you see a lot of NY/NJ support for Rudy since this is a Sirius poll. The majority of Sirius listeners are Howard Stern fans, and in turn, a majority of his fans are from NY and NJ.
