I posted this on another forum but figured that Freedom-Living minded folks here would also find some good ideas. I hestitated to post it here because I really don't want to see a concept with such great discussion potential devolve into a bunch of arguments, unrelated comments, etc.
So, this topic is designed for people who are willing to entertain the idea that IF the US goes back to the WWII-style ration card system, in reaction to an economic meltdown or other SHTF scenario, how would we best prepare for it?
This is George Gordon's 1 hour broadcast on practical solutions to rationing. George is a 70-year old homesteader who runs his own private business Law School in Isabella, Missouri; he only accepts gold and silver for his services and doesn't directly deal with federal reserve notes. He's also gone on record to state that, "Ron Paul is the only non-Communist in Congress".
This broadcast is great (and entertaining). Some biblical references throughout the hour, but, he goes into some very helpful suggestions for long-term homesteading ideas under rationing and ration cards. Bartering, buying in advance, stockpiling/"hoarding", solar panels, it is all discussed.
Part of Gordon's charm is that he is very plain-spoken, he does not mince nor use 50 cent words. :)
