Why does Beck say "Capitalist Dictatorship" instead of Fascism?

Not sure. But I have heard him say we are heading into Fascism many times. He had a guy on with a book within the last few weeks and then spent a lot of time on it.

There is no such thing as a "capitalist dictatorship," unless you have a dictatorship that leaves the economy alone. Otherwise, no. ;) state capitalism, yes.

I think he might have him on tv tonight.

He obviously was impressed by Dr. Paul's speech.

Thanks for posting this mrchubbs. Dr. Paul did great... covered a lot of ground for a relatively short interview and articulated everything well.

Jonah Goldberg's "Liberal Fascism"

Yes, that's the one. Have you read it? Sounded like a great read.

Why does Beck say "Capitalist Dictatorship" instead of Fascism?

Because when you say things like that in front of the common person (listening to the Glenn Beck show) it smacks of conspiracy theory and you immediately lose the attention of your audience. Also, do you think even 1% of the population knows was Fascism is?!?

I liked that Paul was praising Switzerland again. I'd like to see our entire federal government outsourced to the Swiss. I guarantee they'd do a better job than the numbnuts we have now.

It might have some good stuff in it but be warned; Jonah Goldberg applauded Rudy Giuliani for attacking Ron Paul in the debates.

there was an article on takimag.com that discussed this last year.

edit: found the article: Jonah Goldberg takes on Ron Paul by Justin Raimondo
