"On the question of economy, Obama said he would meet a group of economists this week to work on short- and long-term solutions to help those affected by the increasingly dismal US economy."

From an article on Al Jazeera yesterday. I suppose if Obama wants to pretend he can solve any problems he may as well go to the source of them to get the best sound bites.

That's a joke because Bernanke surely knows waaaaaay more about what he's doing than a guy that was just elected to the Senate.

damn, he has a great team... he makes all the moves that make him look like he is in charge already... international meetings, hand shakes with economists, pictures with the fed... sad... Republicans have to be mad to keep McCain after the convention... he looks like a grumpy old man, with nothing to look forward just his demise.

Is it private? If so its surely just going to be a further discussion of how to implement all the plans agreed upon at the Bilderberg meeting this summer.

Obama: "I need unlimited funds to guarantee I'll be prez... Let's make a deal."

Bernake: "Okay, have your wife give me a BJ. I'm rich bitch."

Why do I get the feeling they're working out logistics so the Fed can buy and store ink while their scraps of rag still resemble riches? That way they can print dollars to oblivion without suffering from inflated ink prices...

I wonder if they're meeting at the Chicago Federal Reserve branch in honor of their hero Trotsky
