You think it's him because he's anti-war?

Here's news for you, just about all singers/celebrities are liberals and very anti-war so that doesn't really narrow it down.

What's the difference between write-in votes for Paul (taking votes away from McCain) and a vote for Barr (taking votes away from McCain)?

How would one affect the GOP any differently than other? Just curious.

Write-is are useless, they throw them out. I don't see them taking away votes from McCain. Why not just write yourself in?

Some known libertarian musicians:

Gene Simmons, Rock Star & Entrepreneur

I don't think so:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gene_Simmons#Politics

"A self-described liberal on social policy issues, Simmons has described himself as a supporter of the foreign policy of the George W. Bush administration.[6] He supported the 2003 invasion of Iraq, writing on his website: "I'm ashamed to be surrounded by people calling themselves Liberal who are, in my opinion, spitting on the graves of brave American soldiers who gave their life to fight a war that wasn't theirs...in a country they've never been to...simply to liberate the people therein".[7] In a follow-up, Simmons explained his position and wrote about his love and support for the United States: "I wasn't born here. But, I have a love for this country and its people that knows no bounds. I will forever be grateful to America for going into World War II, when it had nothing to gain, in a country that was far away...and rescued my Mother from the Nazi German Concentration Camps. She is alive and I am alive because of America. And, if you have a problem with America, YOU HAVE A PROBLEM WITH ME".[7]

During the 2006 Lebanon War between Israel and Hezbollah, Simmons sent a televised message of support (in both English and Hebrew) to an Israeli soldier seriously wounded in fighting in Lebanon, calling him his "hero".[8]"

What about John Cougar? He's got some pro America songs, but still get you to think about freedom, or our not so free country. Or what about Paul McCartney? Sometimes I think he believes in freedom more than many Americans do.

Mayer. He has spoken on supporting Ron Paul, and although he was drunk, his position still stands. Also, it just so happens that he's on tour right now too, and his last 'official' tour date is 8/31...

Methinks we have a winner.

Ted Nugent, Rock Star & Bow Hunter

Don't forget the Nuge....dude! Didn't he endorse the Huckster?

The Feds?

Not too sure about The Feds, never heard of that band.....but THE POLICE will be there for certain!!! I kinda figured Sting to be the type for endorsing the green party, though. Message In A Bottle would be a good tune for them to play. I suspect they'll perform a capella, possibly accompanied only by a taser.

Neal Peart is a Libertarian?

Don't you pay attention to the lyrics? Just to name a few: Anthem, 2112, Freewill, Tom Sawyer, Subdivisions, etc, etc....those just happen to be the ones coming to mind off the top of my head. I remember reading somewhere that Peart's lyrics are heavily influenced by Rand (who I admit that I have never read any of her work)....can't remember where I read it, though - google can probably confirm that easily enough. In any case, more than a few of his lyrics are quite obviously written from a libertarian point of view.
