This is a good video by the Barr campaign (probably Terra Eclipse) and they started by showing some speeches of famous freedom fighters a long with Barr and when it came to talk about the Constitution, Ron Paul was the one who spoke. It was an awesome feeling to see how far Ron Paul and us (his supporters) have come. Ron Paul among the legends: Thomas Jefferson, MLK, Reagan, Goldwater, etc. I think this is it how it will be like in the future. Ron Paul will be one of those people everyone looks up to.

(By legend, I'm saying he's a popular defender or freedom, he's seen as an "important" American, etc.)

It even got past an early hit by the bury brigade! At least one pro-liberty article and or video has been hitting the front page once a day.

Please help take some of the shine off of Obama on Digg by digging this one and adding your pro-liberty and pro-RP comments. It is on the hot list for its category already.

A good anti-McCain one will be submitted tomorrow or the day after.

I don't have the balls to digg that. Bob is such a phony. :(

I use to like him until I learned about his voting record.

You look at it the wrong way. He's not a flipflopper, he changed like every other libertarian had to. A lot of us here were neocons, socialists... overall statists. Bob even got to the side of liberty before a lot of us here. I didn't become a libertarian until Ron Paul... December... so it's wrong to look at his past and say he's not allowed to change.

He was a CIA agent, voted for the Patriot Act, was a leader on the War on Drugs... and now he is the LP Candidate? Definitely keeping me from voting for him and I'm a card carrying Libertarian.

Intentionally or not, phony or enlightened, the LP is fractured over this and won't have the impact it should have had this election.

But this has been an unusual process so far from the Romney whisper to the idea of a shadow convention officially starting the PAC, CFL. I don't know what to make of it, I guess time will tell.

EDIT: BTW His videos are copying the grassroots RP ones (who makes these?) and even have Paul in them, yet Paul doesn't talk much about Barr (I know he's said that people can change) and hasn't invited the LP to the MN convention.

Pathetic. You seem perfectly OK with your's and others' past, but apparently the LP nominee couldn't POSSIBLY be better now. I mean GOSH, he worked for the CIA. He must've used a remote control to drive those planes into the buildings! IT WAS HIM because CIA is evil and would do that and Bob Barr is evil!!! Honestly... you haven't said anything of substance with your post and you ignored what I already said. Secondly, are you aware Ron Paul works for the federal government?

edit: Ha! Of course the LP isn't going to be at the MN event. The rally is about the REPUBLICAN party ("Restore the Republic"). That would just be completely awkward for the LP. And no, it's not "copying." Do you know what Terra Eclipse is?

Barr is out tooling around in his new video.

The mere fact he favors the war on drugs and isn't making ax'ing the Fed as his central platform makes me dislike him.

I don't know Barr's position, but I know that Chuck Baldwin is opposed to the war on drugs.

But he won't end the war on drugs. His drug war position is to stem the tide of immigration. Find me a place where he explicitly says he will end the WOD??

Also find me a place where he says he will pardon non-violent drug offenders like Ron Paul has advocated...

Enjoy.

Has Barr promised to pardon the non-violent drug offenders he helped to prosecute and put in prison?

He actually wanted to blame American drug users for FARC/AlQaeda attacks a few years ago.
http://stopthedrugwar.org/chronicle-old/204/politicos.shtml
"By going after the drug trade, we reduce the ability of these terrorists to launch attacks against the United States and other democracies," said Hastert. "The illegal drug trade is the financial engine that fuels many terrorist organizations around the world, including Osama bin Laden."

John Mica (R-FL), Rob Portman (R-OH), and Mark Souder (R-IN). Also reappointed to the task force was Rep. Bob Barr (R-GA), the Jekyll-and-Hyde congressman from suburban Atlanta who is an ardent foe of government intervention into citizens' lives -- except when it comes to drugs. Barr came very close to blaming American drug consumers for the attacks in his comments at the news conference.

In 2002 he called marijuana a "dangerous and addictive narcotic" and felt it was thew Federal Governments responsibility to protect you from it. (Spy, arrest, and imprison while destroying lives and families).

http://www.mpp.org/legislation/dc/bills/barr-to-continue-fight-against-drug-legalization.html

But has never says anything about the role the CIA has in creating organizations like FARC or the CIA's coup that overthrew Chile's democratically elected president, Salvador Allende on September 11, 1973.

He was a CIA asset from 1971-1979, according to the 1996 book "Congressman Bob Barr", Profiles in Character: The Values That Made America" which means the government may have had some role in funding his J.D. he got from Georgetown in 1977. After the people of Georgia didn't elect him to represent him in the state House, Reagan appointed him to a Federal US DA job which he held until 1990... kinda sounds like payback for his JD to me.

Limited government in people's lives indeed. I don't trust you Bob.

You want something with 'substance'? Try the Barr forums with your disinformation and flatout bullshit lies you pull out of thin air.

IF the freaking LP/CP and even some republicans would swallow their pride and unite truly under a NEW PLATFORM, A NEW BRAND NAME and A NEW PARTY that would cross all lines and unite the LP/CP/20-25% of republicans and 5-10 percent of the Dem's/Indy's. then you now have a party polling over 30% easily, but the LP/CP is full of a bunch of wanna be power hungry assholes!!!! so after this election we are back to square one and i hope all these forces understand the revolution and the message is BIGGER THEN THE LP/CP and even Ron Paul.
RON PAUL needs to get Barr/Baldwin and the powers to be in the LP/CP in a room and start KICKING SOME ASS,
YES RON PAUL ,PLEASE TAKE BARR/BALDWIN AND START BUMPING SOME HEADS, ERRRRRRR SIGH, THIS IS THE ANSWER,but even the CFL/rallyfortherepublic/LP/CP cannot OPEN their eyes, HOW CAN WE EXPECT REPUBLICANS to open their eyes, when WE CANNOT, SIGH DOUBLE SIGH,very frustrating if this doesn't happen soon or by next election, then the lp/cp and our movement, might not matter in a police state!!!!
THE ANSWER IS RIGHT THERE IN FRONT OF US. OK THERE MY RANT AND THERE IS THE FUTURE, it's about brand names and the GOP/LP/CP brand names need a new one!!!!!!!!! sorry for the rant but had to get it off my chest , THROWS HANDS UP IN THE AIR, maybe i need a LETTERTORON PAUL to start knocking some heads around geeez!!!!

Here is a response I received from the Baldwin campaign - emphasis added:

Bethany Patterson

Glen, thanks for writing the campaign. Chuck and his team have been working hard, some traveling, some in offices to keep this campaign for presidency of the Land of the Free running smoothly and on target.

As you may know, we are the third largest party in the country. In poll after poll voters are saying that they will be willing to vote for a third party candidate. For too long this country has been locked in the pattern of a two party system. Guess what? That's not in the constitution! You have a choice and this year the only choice is Chuck Baldwin for President. Please join us so that together we can restore the constitutional principles that made our country strong. As many people as you can talk to, call, and email, the better. Do you write letters to the editor of newspaper in your area, or have a local radio station that is open to callers or advertisements? Any blog or company website can easily have a link to the Baldwin2008 campaign site.

We support abolishing the FDA, and therefore making null the misnamed "War on Drugs". The legislating or non-legislating of substances will be made completely an individual-states issue with no involvement or meddling from the Federal level.

The American people want tax relief! The American people want secure borders and safety for their families. The American people want relief from rising gas prices and from steadily increasing inflation!

The American people want to know that their sons will not be sent into a war without a constitutional declaration of war and that only when it is to protect and defend our land and people!

The American people want a choice!

This year the clear choice is Chuck Baldwin for President. We need your help as soon as possible. The site to donate to our efforts is at this link. Thank you and may God bless our efforts.

Sincerely,

Bethany

Campaign Correspondent

And in case there is any question, eliminating the control of substances on a Federal level and leaving it up to the states, is 1) the exact same policy as the Federal government takes on alcohol today, and 2) the exact same policy advocated by Ron Paul.

The Libertarian Constitutionalist Party of America.

We'd fucking win this. Maybe we should unite with the Greens, but not favor their social stances just to get more votes. :D
