This is the most ridiculous Ron Paul article I have see to date:

"If Ron Paul loses the Republican nomination and chickens out, then libertarians should stay in the Republican Party and support Mitt Romney. Romney is teetering on the verge of falling into full-fledged libertarianism ..."

What kind of advice is this? Does anyone seriously believe that Romney is a closet libertarian?

Hmm... so libertarians like the Clinton assault weapons ban (aka scary looking gun ban) now?

One doesn't transform one major political party, or slam the brakes on the other major political party's momentum, by making a lot of noise in primaries and then ducking out the back door to run elsewhere. To make a real difference one stays and fights.

Truth.

mitt romney is teetering on the edge...

that's an attempt to hijack the language.

they're playing off of the liberal in libertarian. two birds w/ one stone, they associate him with the rising star (libertarian candidate Ron Paul as they say) and to the less-informed blur the difference between the two.

second, they minimize his clearly "liberal" record... in math, it's the transitive property... that's what you're seeing here. i'd expect more of it in the days and weeks to come.

he probably is teetering on the edge, he'll start switching to more libertarian positions as soon as he notices that that will get him more votes. Hillary Clinton probably will too.

Then once in office, anything goes again. I hope the American people are starting to wake up to this scam.

Yeah, totally. If the GOP isn't willing to throw enough support behind MY candidate to get him THEIR nomination, why are they worthy of MY support after they ditch my candidate?

Simple fact: the GOP has fought Dr. Paul in his home district.

Simple fact: The neocon base of the Republican party would much rather have a fellow neocon like Hillary or Obama in office than a libertarian like Dr. Paul.

Simple fact: Romney is not even close to a libertarian. He's a moderate neocon. Idiots mistake moderates for libertarians. Don't be an idiot.

Stuff like this really annoys me. The socialists co-opted the word 'liberal', I won't let neocons have 'libertarian'. :)
