Has anyone seen this movie? - it's on Showtime currently...

a lot of the politics are ours - though some of the 911 stuff is Hollyweird...

the main differences are that:

A) we are going for soap box/ballot box - non-violent revolution while the movie is based on going for the ammo box option.

B) it is based on the SLA/Charlie Manson fantasy that the country will "rise up" given one violent act...

So the question is: Considering that this movie presented a lot of our political views, was it pro-freedom movement or against?

The last 30 seconds of the film say a LOT!

thanks,

Synopsis:
"The Insurgents" uses the events of 9/11 as a springboard to talk about politics and society, security and freedom, patriotism and dissent. Led by a disillusioned former government operative turned radical left-wing academic, a group plans to detonate a bomb in the United States as an act of protest against what they feel are imperialistic actions. A fractured narrative structure adds to the suspense as complications such as love triangles and double crosses are gradually revealed. It is an unflinching self-examination of what it means to be American, the state in which we find ourselves, the implications for the future.

eh I'm watching it now. I don't like how anyone who fights for freedom(not saying that the characters in the movie are doing it correctly) is called a 'leftist'...
