The pollsters finally asked the question that needed to be asked..

"I believe the United States' system is broken and cannot be fixed by traditional two-party politics and elections"

Find out how many agreed with that - and also how many said they would support efforts for their state to secede: and digg it.. (http://digg.com/politics/The_US_is_too_far_gone_for_2_parties_to_fix_44_agr ee)

If the media were even slightly honest they would begin to cover the alternatives to the broken two party system and give the 44% out there the information they need.

this is something i've heard even before my Ron Paul enlightenment.

People parrot that same line over and over, yet remain a cog in their system.

It's not the media's fault. It's the dumbshits who answer those polls. They say one thing then vote the exact opposite without even knowing it. 100% of Americans could say they HATE the two party system yet every single one of them will vote for one anyway. Things like this are why foreigners consider us to be so stupid.

again... "If the media were even slightly honest they would begin to cover the alternatives to the broken two party system and give the 44% out there the information they need." ...

Sit and watch Lou Dobbs or Glenn Beck (if you can..) for a while and you'll see the same thing - loads and loads of "Obama" and "McCain", loads and loads of complaining about how screwed up things are, and almost no mention of third party candidates. Sit and watch your local evening news and see if you EVER see anything about a third party candidate. Even when the media is being critical of BOTH parties they don't offer up the third parties as a solution.

Yes, it's been this way forever. It's time to change it and the change will not happen until the media begins to give coverage to third party candidates.

.... oh.. and did you look at the poll? It said 18% were willing to help with their state seceding from the US. ! (I'm sure a much higher percentage than that would result from a poll on here.. but..)
Isn't that newsworthy? This poll showed almost 1 in 5 are ready for the US to break apart and it didn't get any mention in the news at all?

Many of those 44% would also be willing to take a dictator that they felt could "fix" things.

Like, how Glenn Beck had an hour-long interview with the Libertarian Presidential Candidate Bob Barr?

Yeah. Beck just ignores everyone who's not a R or a D.

.... and then hasn't mentioned him since.. yep. Exactly.

He did the same thing to Ron Paul - he had him on his show and then after that would RAIL on the exact economic issues that Ron Paul espouses and Beck wouldn't mention the name "Paul". He's a tool.
