You can buy a fantastic tarp at Northern Tool and Supply to put stencils on. This way the traffic copter will catch it on the nightly news. Hubby says that truckers will warm up to the idea of getting a free tarp for the purpose of promoting Ron Paul if it comes down to that.

The tarp is 12'x52' and runs $170.

You could probably use these just for a HUGE BANNER as well.

Vinyl truck banners for the sides of trailers are fairly cost effective. Imagine the impact of a 53 foot trailer with Ron Paul advertising. I'm not an expert but there might be issues of wind shearing with a roof banner.

There is also scope for small businessmen who are Ron Paul supporters to put banners on their mid size delivery type trucks. Perhaps half the space could go to Ron and the other half to advertising their business.

Is there a specific reason truckers would want to support Ron Paul? Aren't they unionized?

no, most are not union drivers also a large part of the long haul drivers own their own truck and contract/lease it to companies. so im sure a large part of these independent business owners would love the idea of less regulation and paperwork from the feds

most local city drivers are usually not union drivers and dont make as much as the long hauls drivers, but they are home every night.

Well, last week I found two trucker forums and posted the idea to them, and promptly had my posts DELETED by the moderators.

Must be a good idea....Better get after it before the other candidates do it first and get the attendant press coverage....

Truckers from Mexico.

Income tax.

All three are issues of importance to truckers, and RP has the right position on all of them.
