I think the proposed situation is a bit over the top, but I do think the economy will go to hell in a handbasket and so will the country as a whole, but not to the point of rebellion or to the point of a foreign occupation of the Southwest. In any event, it is good to know how to provide for yourself.

A freedom-lover needs to get comfortable with the idea that it may be better to be somewhere else once trouble begins.

What you've stocked up helps to ease that transition.
