We need to amend the Bill of Rights to specifically include privacy for ourselves but to deny privacy to the federal government (unless absolutely critical). We should ask every Federal agency with information on ourselves to tell each citizen each year what they have on file.

The government needs to get away from defining "ends" and step back and start defining the "means." Redistributing wealth will be the end of our Republic. The Government should be an impartial referee in the best case scenario.

We need SOME sort of Policy for Immigration. Either border us up or implement some sort of control. Without secure borders there is no Homeland Security. BUT, I believe we should let all who want to become US Citizens the opportunity. We are all Immigrants. In the 1800s no one liked the Germans and the Irish. Look at us now??? The reason we really don't want immigration, is that deep down we all know that immigrants will bring down our Socialist system of handouts. They do compete for jobs, but we can have the government help in other ways. Maybe not in Minimum Wages but certainly as a referee.

Quit misusing the term Liberal. Liberalism classically meant those wanting change with Conservatism meaning those that resist change. Lets call Democrats (and some members of the Republicans) what they truly are: SOCIALISTS. Although softer than that in Europe, they are none the less socialists. Republicanism can stand for change! So quit associating Conservatism with Republicanism!

Globalization usurps our Rights as Americas. The World Trade Organization constantly tells our Congress what to do. Why do we put up with this? We need a better way to look at trade rather than wily-nilly. Corporations see dollar signs, but we need to bridle this lust with some common sense. A disciplined approach. Everybody agrees free trade is where we need to go. But at what cost to our national security and to our rights? Getting back to a Gold Standard would stop a lot of the manipulations of other countries. Why can't we have competition in currencies? So many are pegged or controlled to implement backward mercantilist trade polices, eg., China and Japan. Our current situation is a result of all this backwards thinking. Our fiat money system may potentially collapse from all this junk. As soon as trust evaporates, then we will be back to a Gold Standard.

Why are WE pushing up the price of oil by talking "war" so much with Iran. Russia and Iran like war talk, it raises the price of oil so they receive more money. Money to potentially hurt us in the future. If you're going to bomb the atomic plants in Iran, do it already. But better yet, how about some negotiations (that seem to have come out of nowhere lately). Obama was talking about this first. Else wise stop talking up the price of oil.

Big-business needs to be brought better under control, instead of government hurting small business. The republican party caters too much to large business. Hayek in "The Road to Serfdom" talked about big corporations being one of the steps to fascism in Nazi Germany. A lot of small companies increase competition.

Why in the heck did we allow our Oil industry to become so concentrated? A few of the recent mergers should have been stopped. Now we don't have hardly any competition and thus no motivation for exploration. All the monies are now being paid out in dividends.

Prohibition for alcohol did not work, then why do we still think that prohibition for drugs works? In fact this is where the money comes from in Afghanistan to fund terrorism. This prohibition also is causing severe damage to our inner cities and minority populations. Legalize all drugs with doctor prescriptions!

Abolish the Department of Education and give up this facade of "No Child Left Behind" Why are we trying to make all the children the same. Let the States and municipalities to the job do and let them compete for the kids. And by the way, a voucher system would also increase competition. Our centers of higher education are the finest in the world, but our elementary and secondary system is BROKEN. Competition is what this country is about.
