I had set up a blog at http://sclp.us today, but I was later contacted by the South Carolina Libertarian Party and told that they had a trademark on SCLP, so after some bitching and moaning on my part I decided to surrender the name to them and went shopping for a new domain name.
I just picked up http://RP4.US (won't be active for a while) and while looking for that one, discovered that the following names are also available, in case anyone wants to snag them:
paul4.us
rp08.us
ron4.us

Once the names go thru, my existing forum will be located at http://forum.rp4.us instead of forum.ronpaulmosaic.com. I'll be putting a South Carolina spin on the forum, but yall can still book mark it in case this one should suffer another hard drive crash.

Make sure they even own the trademark, they could be just saying that.

Also, you have a case that they themselves did not register until now. It sounds suspicious.

Seeing how I do the Anderson County (SC) libertarian website ( http://aclp.us )
and am good friends with most of the ACLP folks, I'm giving in more to save them the hassle of another spat between the state and county parties.
I bitched back and forth with them for a good bit today, then finally decided it wasn't worth the hassle and agreed to give them the name for $13 (the cost of registering 2 names, new and old), a 30 day redirect page stating the new address, and one beer should I ever meet the person I was arguing with in person.
Now if they should decline that offer I'll let them pay way more than that to defend their trademark in court, which would probably bankrupt the state party.

Well, that's good to hear. Still, you would think that they bothered to sign up the site a long time ago.
