I still find it so hard to understand why so many Republicans can so clearly see the stupidity of a big government policy at home, yet continue to so blindly believe that the larger the big government policy abroad the better... It's so schizophrenic.

He's an incumbent Republican...

which means if he's not Ron Paul, he's part of the problem.

Broun's opponent was the establishment's candidate. The Ron Paul movement could learn a lot from this race in how to defeat an establishment candidate who raised around $1,000,000 for their race. [reports show Broun with close to that amount, but his figures include amounts spend on two other elections]

Critics should note that Dr. Paul's Congressional Campaign contributed to Broun's Re-election. Are you saying that Ron Paul supports a neocon?

Now that Broun's seat is secure, I hope he votes to reduce the war funding.

Please watch Broun's position on the second amendment and tell me that is the position of a neocon.

To you find a candidate who agrees with you on everything, your must look in a mirror.

Be glad that the candidate with a record of voting for smaller government has defeated the GA House Majority Whip in this race. This is a big win.

Broun is a neo-con, he's part of the problem. I wish people would stop bringing him up.

If Ron Paul supports him, the support certainly isn't mutual. Broun would never support Ron Paul. I'm in Broun's district, we begged him to come out in support of Ron Paul before super-tuesday, he refused.

I write Broun e-mails (as part of the Downsize DC campaign), asking him to end his support for the war, to reject attacking Iran, to vote against the revised FISA bill, to support impeachment .. and I get answers: no, no, no, and no. He's very good at sending his answers back to me, unfortunately, the answers are always the opposite of the Ron Paul platform.

In the Congressional race this year, I'm voting 3rd party if one is on the ballot, and if not, I'm voting Democrat. Broun is part of the problem, I'd like to see him replaced. Admittedly, whatever Democrat replaces him will probably be part of the problem too. Sort of a lose-lose.

Yes, Ron supports a jackass. And he's supported others we would not support for various reasons. Everyone needs to stop treating Ron as if he really has a concept of how to gain influence. He doesn't. He isn't a master strategist. He isn't a tactical genius. In fact, he's the opposite. He is correct on policy and that's why we like him. But when it comes to practical politics, have you ever wondered why he won't support even great candidates against their neocon incumbent opponents? Have you ever wondered why nothing he authors ever gets out of committee. Have you ever wondered why, in 20 years, we haven't had the Ron Paul "this or that" bill of any kind pass the House? Ever?

Broun was sold to us as a great pro-gun hero by GOA when he first ran. But what he is is a religious nutcase and a warmonger. Sadly, our pro-gun allies are for the most part a very big part of the problem in congress.
