I've been searching around here but haven't found this yet. I'm looking for videoes to send to people who have never even heard of liberty and think Ron Paul is crazy due to the media. These vidoes would be initial videos to open the minds of others.

Perferably without Ron in it. Because there is a subconscience biased America against him.

Please make sure these can be found online. This is to be a zero cost budget.

The only one I've come up with so far is Freedom to Facism (http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-1656880303867390173).

Got any vids?

If you want to wake-up an American, you must think like an American. Ergo, the video must ---

1) Be short
2) Be unbiased
3) Not be boring
4) Have hot chicks.

I love the phil of liberty...However, i showed the philosophy of liberty to my family. They did not understand the true meaning of it. And so they laughed at the mere simplicity of it.

I recomend not showing the philosophy of liberty first.

I agree. We need something that mainly plays on people's emotions with just a taste of what we we are about. We have to market to the masses. Cool music, cool images and just enough substance that will make a newbie click for more information.

We're just getting started, but you can check out the list of videos that we have used in our educational campaign's so far. There's links that break out the results by party and age in case that's helpful.

http://operationeducation.org/reports/rptVideos.cfm

All the responses are from random people that were paid to watch the video and fill out a short questionnaire.

The Immigration Gumballs video really seems like a good video to get started with. Although it's about a specific issue, it appears to be effective on people of any age or party. This would help get some credibility with whoever your trying to "wake up" whereupon you can gradually introduce some other videos. If you can get them to watch Money as Debt, it is excellent at opening people's eyes. The suggestions at the end are unfortunate though.

If anyone has suggestions for which videos they'd like to see us use in a future campaign so that we can collect feedback on it, post them on this thread and we'll consider them.

In step 1 of the blueprint of wake up those topics will open the mind to rebellion. However, they are all fiction. There is nothing for the people to relate to specificly. For instance, after watching the matrix they wont do a google seach on "liberty" to find more.

We have to sell liberty as does the link in your sig. Just so the people are interested to research more.

It's so far a 9 step process... you don't start a 12 step alcoholics anonymous course & expect them to be cured & sober the rest of their lives after step 1... now do you?

They are fiction for a reason... ;)

You expect people to do google searches and educate themselves? That comes later, not in step 1... Don't jump the gun.

They are all allegorical and convey subtle messages, they all have a purpose & goal... Quick question; have you seen those movies at all? Animal Farm - criticizes communism... Big Brother demolishes Fascism. We're attacking collectivism here. The Matrix is an attempt to help the person think out side of the box... all it not what it seems etc.

You can't enlighten someone on something, if they still believe in the old system.. Hence the 'Open you mind' objective of step one...

Ok? :) Cognitive dissonance is like that...

Conza,

Great suggestion. We've discussed using PoL previously and will probably give it a go as some point in the near future. However, with the financial crisis going on right now, I'm inclined to use videos about the Fed.

I think Freedom to Fascism is a pretty terrible intro video. I'd say The Philosophy of Liberty - www.isil.org/resources/introduction.swf or Milton Friedman on Limited Government - video.google.com/videoplay?docid=6813529239937418232

I haven't seen the Milton Friedman video yet... I'll have to check it out.

I'm not a huge fan of Friedman anymore but this video is a real good explanation/defense of libertarian principles.

True true...

I've shown it on an ABC Forum... (Australian) the show is called Q & A - Adventures in Democracy.... (http://www.abc.net.au/qanda)

Bahahaha... but basically, 1hr long show - panel, politicians, audience submits questions etc.. you can watch it streamed online... Anyway... check out the response to it here... (http://www2b.abc.net.au/tmb/Client/Message.aspx?b=114&m=3109&ps=20&dm=2)

*Facepalm*

I've come to the conclusion.. if they have seen that; and they still don't get it -- they're a lost cause. They reallly are..
