With the recent closing of IndyMac in Pasadena, this might help people be more receptive to talking about the Federal Reserve. The (not so) funny thing is, accounts were insured to 100K. What people needs to get pissed about is, that was 100K decades ago!!! If you inflate the currency, that 100K would be what, over a Million?!?! It's time to start waking up the people!!!

the big money moves are digital, though.

IndyMac failed because big money got wind of insolvency concerns and started pulling their accounts over a month ago.

Uh.
If you had 1 billion dollars only insured up to 100 thousand dollars,
wouldn't you run on the bank !?!

yeah.

the sad thing is the FDIC just lost almost 10% of its pathetic 50some billion dollars of available funds.

not too much longer (too many more big banks going under -- rather, getting sold on the cheap to bigger banks),

and this country will have a heap of a mess on its hands.

This is the third Bank Run in the United States. Unfortunately there was no one big enough to buy Indymac and paper over the Run.
