If our convention is bigger than theirs, and is more exciting, and by chance, gets media attention... it will be RUMP time.
How can the GOP nominate someone who can't get excitement from its members?

I can see CNN making hay with that one.

Maybe their convention should serve special brownies.

Yeah, that was a gem from his speech today.

I don't know why the media wasn't there today, it kind of makes me wonder what type of coverage they'll give St. Paul. The media doesn't care about RP, but they love the scent of division within the GOP as a news item. So I was surprised by the complete silence (both online and on TV) of today's events.

the media ignored it, they are still scared. why would they not take a chance to trash McCain by showing a huge wing of his party marching on Washington angry... because as much as it helps Obama short term, it hurts their power machine long term.

Hopefully all our RP delegates leave early from it and a giant errant missile comes out of nowhere and hits their convention....that would be sweet!

Are you going to be in St. Paul? I hope so. I can't make it (can't afford it :(), but I trust you to get the troops togeather for a rump if an opportunity presents itelf. If it does we will need leadership to get it going.........and you're the right man for the job......... so I nominate you. :)

That motion hasn't been seconded, but I will surely be willing to take the reigns if no other has the want to do it.
If you want to make sure something gets done, you must be willing to do it yourself.
This wouldn't be my first rodeo.

Can somebody please 'second' my motion to nominate TourchBearer as our designated rump starter? :)

The way you phrased it actually makes it kind of a dangerous thing for a guy to do, but x2!

The 11,000-seat arena Paul rented is going to be PACKED. The tickets will probably sell out quickly.

I wonder though how many people who don't get tickets and can't cram into the arena will show.

Does anyone know how many people there will be at McCain's event? How many people does his place hold?

also the media seems to not care about the fact that banks are getting run on.
