The Libertarian Party has offered the GOP a new platform that is more in tune to what McCain and the other neoconservatives have turned the Republican party into.

author's note: Democrats will also be revamping their platform for 2008, but a blog entry for them is not necessary. It is clear that the democratic party no longer believes in anything at all, except that which will do best for them in the polls. We could post several predictions for what they would promise to do for iraq or civil liberties, but we'd have to take them down after they go unfulfilled.

lmao.

How is the LP statist? They wish the government to control economical and social issues?

Anarchist-libertarians call Pragmatic Libertarians "Statist" because they believe government does have a role to play... where as the anarchist-libertarians, well, believe in self-governance alone.
Frankly, i'm tired of the purist, holier than though, bullshit. And I think the party is finally getting over that hurdle.
Our central committee in Louisiana is finally ran by pragmatist who are interested in returning to the constitution, not abolishing government at all levels.

lmao.

How is the Republican Party any better than the Democratic Party. The LP taking sides like this givesm e no interest in voting for them.

Taking sides? Did you read the entire thing? This is from the last paragraph:

"Author's Note: Democrats will also be revamping their platform for 2008, but a blog entry for them is not necessary. It is clear that the Democratic Party no longer believes in anything at all, except that which will do best for them in the polls. Ron Paul, Bob Barr, Chuck Baldwin, and the Libertarian Party have been just as critical and disappointed with both the Republican and Democrat parties.

Yet they dont make the same claims that the Republicans don't beleive in anything.
